NAME OF THE COURSE ADMISSION DETAILS Admissions for Mahire Tibb (MD-Unani) in the following disciplines are in accordance with the permission as granted by Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and approved by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana State. Specialty No. of seats (i) Moalajat (Medicine) - 07 (Seven) (ii) Ilmul Advia (Pharmacology) - 07 (Seven) 2. DURATION OF THE COURSE: 3 years. 3. ELIGILIBITY FOR ADMISSION i. A Candidate must have obtained the Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) Degree of any University/Statutory body included in the 2nd schedule to the IMCC Act, ii. iii. iv. The candidate should have completed training as internee/house Officer. For in-service candidates Five years of regular service shall be calculated as on Candidates who are already admitted and studying MD (Unani) Course shall not be permitted for counselling unless they discontinue the course by remitting the bond amount and the stipend taken upto that date before submitting application form and such candidates shall submit the discontinuance certificate issued by the Head of the Institution along with the application. v. Candidates who are already holding a Post Graduate Degree in Unani in a subject shall not be eligible for admission into another P.G. Unani Course. vi. Regarding seats of Central Government Nomination (CGN), Revised Guidelines shall be applicable communicated by Govt. of India vide Letter F.No.R.12013/02/2014-E&C(PG) dt and the same are available on university website ( 4. RESERVATIONS i. 01 seat in each specialty would be reserved for the Eligible doctors /researchers /officers of Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India subject to qualifying the AIAPGET entrance test. ii. The seats remaining vacant if any, under CCRUM category due to nonavailability/ non eligibility of Research Officers (In-service), will be filled up by the candidates from general pool. iii. For remaining six (06) seats in each specialty, reservations will be given to SC, ST, P.W.D, OBC (not belonging to creamy layer), and to any other category, as per the guidelines of Govt. of India issued from time to time. 3 P a g e

4 iv. OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates applying for the seat reserved for OBC must submit a copy of the certificate regarding his / her OBC status & non creamy layer status issued on or before the closing date for receipt of application form as per advertisement. The certificate should be submitted as per the format given in DOPT, GOI OM No.36033/28/94-Estt(Res) dt.02/07/1992. In case the candidate mention himself/herself as belonging to OBC Category but not enclosing the certificate as required in the prescribed format with his / her application, he/she shall be considered as General Candidate. v. In case of non-availability of the eligible candidates in any of the above reservation categories, the vacant seats will be filled up from the General Merit list, prepared on the basis of the performance in AIAPGET 2017 held on vi. The candidate shall have right to choose only one category for reservation. vii. For any further notification and modifications in this regard, please visit the University s website and this institute website 5. Merit List (i) Merit position of candidates shall be determined based on percentile and rank obtained in AIAPGET-2017(Unani) held on (ii) In case of equal rank / percentile among candidates the following criteria will be considered for determining merit rank. (A) Total aggregate marks obtained in BUMS Course. (1st Year to Final Year). (B) In case of equality of above criteria, the date of birth will be considered, candidate born earlier will be considered as first in merit rank. (iii) The vacancies arising out of non-joining of the candidate shall be filled on the basis of merit/waiting list within the stipulated date. Such candidates should join the Institute by the stipulated date only as mentioned in schedule of admission. 6. Application for Admission (i) The online application form is available on the website from to up to 5.00 p.m. Note: The candidates are advised to take a print out of the prospectus / instructions to fill the application form from the website before proceeding to fill the application form. (ii) The candidate should fill the online application form available in the Website with the data required-for, through internet. The online application form can be filled through any computer with internet connection (home/internet café/net center). The candidate is advised to fill the online application form after going through the Prospectus by keeping all the Certificates, Scanned Photo and Signature in the.jpg/.gif format separately (as shown below) (step- 1) and ready to enter his/her correct data and upload the photo and signature after the payment of application fee through Online. Online application is available on the Issued and notified by the KNRUHS University 4 P a g e

5 Procedure of filling online application and Procedure for online payment: (i) AIAPGET Hall Ticket. (ii) AIAPGET Rank Card. (iii)the fee can be paid through Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking (iv) The fee paid by the applicants is not refundable under any circumstances. (v) Read the Notification, Prospectus / Regulations carefully. (vi) Keep all the following documents required: (a) Date of Birth Certificate. (b) Study Certificate - B.U.M.S. (c) All marks sheets from 1st B.U.M.S. to final B.U.M.S.. (d) Scanned Photo (80 kb in size). (e) Scanned Signature. (f) Category Certificate if applicable. (g) Experience / Service Certificate. (h) Council Registration Certificate. (i) Differently abled (PH) certificate if applicable. (j) Credit card / Debit card. (vii) Visit website through Internet Explorer 11 version. (viii) After completing the data entry in all pages of the online application and after submitting the data through online, the candidate should take the print-out of the filled-in online application form. The Candidate should note the Barcode application number which appears on the printout of application for future reference. (ix) The candidate should paste a recent passport size photograph in the space provided in the print out of online application form. The Photo should be attested by Gezetted Officer/ Principal of the College (identical to the photo that used for scanning) (x) The candidate should sign at the declaration area in the print out of the online application form and also put left hand thumb impression at the space provided without fail. 7. Admission Procedure (i) (ii) (iii) The candidate is eligible for admission who has appeared in the All India Post Graduate Entrance Test conducted by All India Institute of Ayurveda on 06 th August, 2017 on behalf of Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India and has to appear in the Counselling to be conducted by the University. The Admission Committee shall scrutinise all the application forms. The eligible candidates shall be admitted on the basis of merit, subject to availability of seats. 8. SELECTIONS: a) Provisional Selection shall be made by the Selection Committee constituted by the University. b) The Selection Committee shall provisionally select the candidates as per these regulations from among the candidates who qualified AIAPGET 2017 as per merit list. 5 P a g e

6 c) The candidates shall submit their option for subjects of his / her choice in order of priority to Selection Committee. The selection committee will select the candidates as per the Admissions Regulations and Government Rules from among the candidates who physically present themselves and submitted their options. The list of provisionally selected candidates will be displayed and the provisional selection intimations will be issued to the selected candidates. The selection will be made only from among the candidates who physically present themselves when their hall ticket numbers are called out in order of merit. d) Claims of the candidates will not be considered if they are absent when called at the time of selection. If a candidate on merit is absent for selection when he/she is called then next in the merit would be selected. The candidates shall produce their original certificates to the selection committee for verification. e) The candidates shall be called to appear before the Selection Committee one after another and they shall not enter the selection committee room in groups. Any person who obstructs the proceedings of the Selection Committee or otherwise misbehaves or causes disturbance at the selection committee meeting will be liable for disciplinary action as may be taken by the University. f) The Selection Committee shall have power to review the provisional selection in case of any errors, misrepresentation, fraud or glaring injustice. In all matters relating to selections and admissions, the decision of the selection committee shall be final and binding on the candidates and selections cannot be questioned after admissions are closed. g) If a candidate after choosing the subject fails to pay fees or after paying the fees fails to submit the bond, his/her selection stands cancelled automatically. If a candidate is absent for exercising options, he/she will not be considered for selection at the subsequent selection in the then available courses. 9. CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION: a) The DIRECTOR Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine, Hyderabad shall verify the correctness of documents. On his satisfaction he shall direct the candidates to credit the Institute fee etc., immediately. b) Candidates joining courses shall execute a bond on non judicial stamp paper of value of Rs.100/- in the form specified in Annexure-III to ensure completion of the prescribed period of training or in default or for any other reason has to pay Rs.1,00,000/- to the Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences and shall refund the stipend received upto that date to Government. c) The Original certificates submitted shall not be returned to the candidates till they complete their course. d) Candidates selected to various courses shall be whole time students. Service Candidates will have to apply for study leave and are required to produce the orders wherein such leave has been sanctioned to them from the competent authority within 3 months after joining the course. 10. Fees (a) (b) Counselling and Registration Fee (Bank transaction charges extra) Rs. 4,000/- for General/ OC candidate Rs. 4,000/- for BC / OBC Candidate Rs. 3,000/- for SC /ST candidate University Fee : Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) 6 P a g e

7 (c) Institute Fee: Rs.12,360/- (1 st year), Rs.9360/- (2 nd year) and Rs.9360 (3 rd year) subject to change at par with NIUM, Bangalore, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India. (d) All the selected candidates shall pay the University fee and Counselling & Registration fee in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn on ANY NATIONALISED BANK in favour of Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences payable at Warangal on the day of selection. The fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. (e) The Institute fee shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn on ANY NATIONALISED BANK in favour of DIRECTOR, CRIUM, HYDERABAD. The fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. 11. Copies of certificates to be submitted at the time of Counselling/Admission The candidate should submit the print-out of the filled-in online application along with the self-attested copies of following certificates at the time of certificate verification and counselling at PGRRCDE, OU-CAMPUS, HYDERABAD. The originals of these must be produced for verification at the time of Counselling / admission. a) AIAPGET-2017( UNANI) Hall Ticket b) AIAPGET-2017(UNANI) Rank Card c) Self Attested copy of the Provisional / Original Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination d) Self Attested copies of memo of Marks obtained in all examinations of the qualifying examination(from 1st year to final year). e) Self Attested copy of Date of Birth Certificate. f) Study Certificate from 1st Year to Final Year BUMS. g) Self Attested copy of House Surgency / Internship Certificate. h) Certificate of Caste as required in the prescribed format (Annexure -I & II). i) Service certificate if applicable. j) PH Certificate if applicable. (Differently abled): Candidates with whole body physical disability ranging above 40% should produce a medical certificate issued by the Chairman State Disability board or any equivalent authority in the field of concerned disability. Candidates suffering from hearing disability should compulsorily obtain and produce a BSER (Brain Stem Evoked Response) Audiometry Report from Govt. ENT Hospital or from any other hospital, recognized by the National Disability Board. At the time of counselling, the candidates are required to produce their original medical certificates before a Committee. Persons with the disability shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection and Rights and Participation) Act 1995 (Central Act 1/1995). The candidates with disability of less than 40% will not be eligible for claiming a seat under Physically Disabled Category. Note: The Physically Disabled candidates who fail to appear before the committee on the day fixed for medical examination will not be eligible for selection of a seat under Physically Disabled quota. 11. Two-recent passport size photographs of the candidate along with the Application Form. 7 P a g e

8 12. Other Instructions to candidates Candidates will have to make their own arrangement for stay in Hyderabad during the time of Counselling and no accommodation will be provided by the institute. The Counselling fee, Admission Fee and Institute fee are neither refundable nor transferable. Admission will be granted to the candidates subject to declaring medically fit. The competent authority / University reserve the right to accept/reject any Application Form or to amend any rules and regulations or cancel any admission without assigning any reason thereof. No transfer of admission will be allowed from any other college in Mahire Tibb (MD -Unani) Course. All the original documents of admitted candidates will remain with Institute till completion of the Course. All disputes are subject to Hyderabad jurisdiction only. 13. Specific Instructions for In-Service Candidates (i) In-service candidates seeking admission against the seats reserved for the said category must submit their candidature in original Application Form along with NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE duly forwarded by the Employer/ Directorate concerned up to the last date of submission of Application Forms. Otherwise their candidature will not be considered under the In-service category and they will be considered under General Category only. (ii) The In-service candidates found eligible in the Entrance Test against the reserved seats are required to produce relieving orders from the Employer/Directorate concerned at the time of joining. Their joining will be accepted on production of relieving orders from the concerned department within the specified period as notified. Otherwise their admissions will stand cancelled and the vacant seats will be allotted to the waiting list candidates. 14. Important Instructions a) Seats shall be allotted to the qualified candidates purely on merit basis only b) Candidates failed to appear for the first counselling shall not be allowed for subsequent Counselling, if any. c) Admission fee once paid shall not be refunded, if any candidate/s want/s to leave the course for any reason whatsoever. d) If any candidate leaves the course in between he / she shall repay the entire stipend received. e) If any candidate applied for job anywhere, during the course, such candidate will not be allowed to join the Post till completion of the Course. 15. ATTENDANCE AND LEAVE (i) The post graduate students shall complete 85% of attendance in all subjects separately before they appear in the examination. (ii) Leave: The PG Students are eligible for 30 days leave in the academic year and they can avail a maximum 10 days at a time. If they avail more than 10 days at a time, the stipend shall be deducted proportionately. The balance of leave in a year if any shall not be carried forward to the next academic year. 8 P a g e

9 (iii) Maternity leave: PG students are eligible for maternity leave not exceeding 30 days without loss of stipend. 16. SANCTION OF LEAVE OF ABSENCE BEYOND 3 MONTHS AND TERMINATION OF STUDENTSHIP Break of study and re-admission: If a student absents continuously for a period of 91 days or more and seeks permission to attend the course, his / her application in prescribed format by paying requisite fee in favour of Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences payable at Warangal shall be forwarded to the Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences with the recommendation of the Director, CRIUM, Hyderabad. Regulations for readmission after break of study along with application format and fee payable is available in the university website. The candidates are advised to refer the regulations before submitting the application and paying the fee. If they fulfilled the regulatory conditions, they may submit applications through the Director of the institute by paying the fee. 17. PRIVATE PRACTICE No PG student shall do any private practice or consultation practice and shall not accept any part-time employment during his/her Post Graduation. 18. INSTITUTE REGULATIONS 19. STIPENDS: Candidates are required to follow the rules and regulations of the Institute and should also abide by the regulations of the University and they shall not make any correspondence with higher authorities directly without prior permission of the Professor of the concerned department and Director, CRIUM, Hyderabad. a. Stipends may be paid by the institute at par with NIUM Bangalore, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India to the PG students who are regular in attendance and show good progress every month in their academic pursuits. The total period during which the stipends may be paid to the students shall not exceed thirty six months for the course. No candidate will be eligible to draw the stipend for more than 36 months during the entire PG study period. b. Service candidates shall not be paid stipend if they draw leave salary or salary. 20. COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE: The course shall normally commence w.e.f 1 st November, The duration of the course shall be calculated from this date of commencement of the course and shall be uniform for all the candidates irrespective of their individual dates of admission.
