1 Gist of Dr. Bhagwan Singh Dr. Bhagwan Singh, Head of Department (HoD) of Marketing & Supply Chain Management (M&SCM), School of Business & Management Studies (SBMS) in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), Dharamshala, District Kangra, H.P. He is Academic Council (AC) Member of Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP). He is Coordinator of MOOCs Prakosht of CUHP. He is also the Chairman of Management Research Circle (MRC) of SBMS, CUHP, Member of School Board of SBMS and Chairman of Board of Studies (BoS) of Dept. of Marketing & Supply Chain Management (M&SCM), SBMS. He has also been Chairman of Management Society of SBMS. He held Faculty Development Program sponsored by ICSSR of worth Rs 9.4 Lacs in Dec 2013 which brought good credit to his department and University. He is also the member of various committees, panels and BoS of other Universities / Colleges. As per his academics, he did his Ph.D. in Commerce for his thesis on A Study of the Prospects and Problems of Web Based Advertising in Eastern U. P. from V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, U.P. under the guidance of Dr. G. S. Rathore, Former HoD, Associate Professor & Ex-Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi, U.P. He did his MBA from CSJM Kanpur University, Kanpur (2000) and specialized in Marketing. He did B. Com. from Allahabad University, Allahabad in As his achievements, He has written TWO books on topics: Internet Based Marketing & Web Based Advertising. Dr. Singh has also received Best Teacher Award on Teacher s Day 5 th September 2012, from Rotary Club Dharamshala, H. P. He also got Best Teacher award in 2011, from the hands of Hon ble Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeth State University, Varanasi organised by JDIMT & Lion s Club, Varanasi. He also got 1 st Best Paper Award in International Conference held at Gardi Vidyapith University in Rajkot, Gujarat in February He has been the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Computer Society of India Varanasi Chapter, Region- 1; He was also one of the Sectional Member (among Four member all over India) of ICT&CS Chapter of Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA). He is Associate Editor, International Journal of Economics and Managerial Thoughts and Global Journal of Enterprise Information System (GJEIS). He is Life member of Computer Society of India (CSI), Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) & Indian Commerce Association (ICA). His area of interest is in Marketing & IT; especially Internet based Marketing & Web Based Advertising and has know-how in Internet and Advertising. Dr. Singh has more than 30 publications in reputed Journals, Chapters in Books and Conference Proceedings and has attended more than 41 International & National Conferences and Seminars and presented about 51 papers. He has Chaired several International & National Conferences & Seminars.
