( With and Without Mathematics combination) for the academic year as approved in the Board of Studies Meeting Previously. Hence there are no changes incorporated in the syllabus. 2) The members thoroughly discussed and resolved to adopt the changed model papers for I year and the same model papers for II, III, IV, V and VI Semesters of B.A and B.Sc. as approved in the previous Board of Studies Meeting. 15 GOVERNMENT COLLEGE (AUTONOMOUS) RAJAHMUNDRY Resolutions: DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS 1) The members thoroughly discussed and resolved to adopt the same syllabus for second and third years for all the semesters for B.Sc. and B.A ( With and without Mathematics combinations) for the academic year As per the instructions given by the Commissioner ate of Collegiate Education, Hyderabad, the first year syllabus is framed according to the syllabus given by Adikavi Nannayya University with Modular form for this academic year as approved in the Board of Studies Meeting previously. Theory Examination External 75 Marks Internal 25 Marks Practical Examinations External 75 Marks Internal 25 Marks 60 Marks for Practical and 15 Marks for Record 2) The members have approved the list of paper setters and Examiners for theory and Practical s as approved in the appendix for the semesters I to VI 3) As per the APSCHE recommendations of the committee, the Statistics must be equipped with at least 20 systems with one or two printers. 4) The Commissionerate is planning to introduce choice base credit system by introducing one Genaral Elective Paper for the second Year Students in Semester IV and Elective Papers for the third year students in Semesters V and VI for the academic year for both the courses B.Sc. and B.A and tentative syllabus is given in the last Annexure. Department of Statistics Board of Studies The members present discussed various aspects of the Syllabi, Model Question Papers of both Theory and Practical for three year B.Sc.,& B.A degree course in Statistics that is to be implemented for the academic year and resolved the following. RESOLUTIONS : 1.It is resolved to adopt the new curriculum prescribed by A.P. State Council of Higher Education(Revised common framework of CBCS for colleges in Andhra Pradesh) for 1st year B.Sc.,& B.A courses for the year It is resolved to adopt the curriculum under modular and CBCS system prescribed by CCE A.P. for 2nd & 3rd B.Sc & B.A. Statistics. 3. As the course is run on semester system in this college the syllabi for 2nd & 3rd year is divided equally for each semester. 4.. It is resolved to introduce Advanced elective -1 and Advanced elective -2( under modular and CBCS) paper-4 in 5 th semester for B.Sc & B.A III year students. One of the two papers can be opted by the students. 5. It is resolved to adopt Skill based elective paper -1 and Skill based elective paper-2 ( under modular and CBCS) in the place of paper-4 in 6 th semester for B.Sc. & B.A III year students. One of the two papers can be opted by the students. 6. It is resolved to include 20% of syllabus as additional input in each paper for I II III- B.Sc & B.A courses in addition to the syllabi prescribed. 7. It is resolved to adapt new pattern of weightage of marks in theory and practicals for B.Sc-I & B.A I yr as recommended by Autonomous Committee. And for II&III-B.Sc. as recommended by C.C.E. A.P. under CBCS modular systems as shown below.

The assessment component is designed as follows For I year students ( CBCS pattern) Theory examination : Total -100 M External exam - 75 marks Internal exam - 25 marks 25 marks-----written examination 5--marks for assignment 5--marks for seminar. 5-- marks for viva-voce For II year students( CBCS pattern) Theory examination : Total -100M External exam - 75 marks Internalexam - 25marks, 10 marks for written exam 5 marks for Assignment 5 marks for Seminar 5 marks for Viva-voce For III year students( CBCS pattern) Theory examination: Total -100M External exam - 75 marks Internal exam -25 marks 10 marks for Written exam 5 marks for Assignment 5 marks for Seminar 5 marks for Viva-voce 9. Practical exam would be conducted at the end of each semester for BSc & B.A I year. Internal exam at the end of 1st semester - 40 marks. Semester end exam -60 marks Total marks 10. As per APSCHE guidelines, and also the members suggested that the Statistics lab must be equipped with atleast 20 computers with one or two printers for doing practicals like MS-Excel, Stat-disk, Tora etc. with one lab technician. Department of Statistics Board of Studies The members present discussed various aspects of the Syllabi, Model Question Papers of both Theory and Practical for II,IV and VI Semesters of B.Sc.,& B.A degree course in Statistics that is to be implemented for the academic year and resolved the following. RESOLUTIONS : 1.It is resolved to adopt the new curriculum prescribed by A.P. State Council of Higher Education(Revised common framework of CBCS for colleges in Andhra Pradesh) for 1st year and 2 nd year B.Sc.,& B.A courses for the year It is resolved to adopt the curriculum under modular and CBCS system prescribed by CCE A.P. for 3rd B.Sc & B.A. Statistics. 3. It is resolved to introduce Clusters system for Semester VI for both B.Sc and B.A courses. One of the two Clusters can be opted by the students.the Structure of the cluster system for both B.Sc and B. A is given with the syllabus and the students can choose accordingly as prescribed. 4. Some pedagogy techniques are being implemented by CCE, A.P for each unit of each paper from this year and the internal evaluation is done accordingly for 40 marks.and external evaluation is for 60 marks for first and second year and internal evaluation is 25 marks and external evaluation is for 75 marks for third year students The assessment component is designed as follows For I & II year students ( CBCS pattern) Theory examination : 100 Marks External exam - 60 marks Internal exam - 40 marks For III year students( CBCS pattern) Theory examination: 100 Marks External exam Internal exam --75 marks --25 marks

30 9. Practical exams would be conducted at the end of each semester for BSc & B.A I & II Yrs. Internal exam at the end of (1st & IIIrd semesters) External or Semester end exam (II & Iv Semesters) Total marks - 50 marks marks 10. Practical exams would be conducted at the end of 6th semester for B.Sc & B.A III yrs respectively. Internal Exam - 25 marks Year End Exam - 75 marks Total marks 11.The scheme of Model question papers for each module is framed at the end of the syllabus and the list of examiners were also approved. 12. As per APSCHE guidelines, and also the members suggested that the Statistics lab must be equipped with atleast 20 computers with one or two printers for doing practicals like MS-Excel, Stat-disk, Tora etc. with one lab technician.
