Pharm. ABOUT Department of IT The department of Information Technology was established in the year This Department offers Four Years Degree Course in Information Technology. Labs in department consist of high configured PCs with Broadband internet connection. Department also contains well qualified faculties with M.E./ M. Tech.They are technically and practically sound in various fields. The Department offers a unique combination of courses and project that helps the students to cope with the recent advancements in the computer industry and information technology. ABOUT FDP Keeping future of the students in mind, a course on Android based Application Development is being introduced in CS/IT/MCA programmes of the University. In order to prepare trained faculty for class room delivery of this course,. The University, in association with Google has initiated Faculty Training Program on Android Skill Development for faculty members of the University. The speakers of the program and content of the training program will be from Google Inc.

4 PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES The program is aimed to give a holistic view on Android Skilling. The program aims at equipping teachers with skills and knowledge that are essential for android application development. The program is aimed at learning Android OS based Application Development. TARGET GROUP Faculty members of AKTU affiliated engineering colleges of following disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Master of Computer Applications. The program has a total seat for 25 faculty members. Limiting each institute for three faculty members. COURSE CONTENT Android basics Android- User Interface Android Advanced Concepts Lab Training OUTCOME In the process of creating two lacs new Android developers in India, Google has collaborated with the AKTU to train the faculty members of the University. The faculty will be able to develop Android based apps and impart the skills & knowledge to the students for their professional and career advancement.
