2 The institution offers three general stream courses in the Higher Secondary section - Science, Arts and Commerce. The maximum intake capacity of science section is 240, for arts section - 45, and for commerce section Approximately 80% seats of the Science section may be filled by those students who have passed the Madhyamik Examination from Burdwan Municipal High School. G. T. Road, Burdwan The rest 20% seats of Science section may be filled by the eligible candidates who have passed the Secondary level exam from schools other than Burdwan Municipal High School. AVAILABLE SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR ALL COURSES In Science Section (Bengali and English Medium) besides language based subjects (BENGALI as First language and ENGLISH as Second Language), these are the seven elective subjects among which students have to choose three compulsory elective subjects and one optional elective subject:- 1) First Language- BENGALI 2) Second Language- ENGLISH 3) PHYSICS 4) CHEMISTRY/ ECONOMICS 5) MATHEMATICS 6) BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE 7) STATISTICS/GEOGRAPHY 8) COMPUTER SCIENCE / COMPUTER APPLICATION In Arts/Humanities section (Bengali) besides language-based subjects (BENGALI as First language and ENGLISH as Second Language), these are the seven elective subjects among which students have to choose their three elective subjects and one optional elective subject:- 1) First Language- BENGALI 2) Second Language- ENGLISH 3) PHILOSOPHY 4) GEOGRAPHY 5) HISTORY/MATHEMATICS 6) SANSKRIT 7) ECONOMICS 8) POLITICAL SCIENCE 9) COMPUTER APPLICATION

3 In Commerce section (Bengali and) besides language-based subjects (BENGALI as First language and ENGLISH as Second Language), these are the seven elective subjects from which the students have to choose three compulsory elective subjects and one optional elective subject:- 1) First Language- BENGALI 2) Second Language- ENGLISH 3) COMMERCIAL LAWS AND PRELIMINARIES OF AUDITING 4) ACCOUNTANCY 5) COSTING AND TAXATION 6) ECONOMICS 7) MATHEMATICS 8) BUSINESS STUDIES 9) COMPUTER APPLICATION Reservation of seats will be as per govt. rule. In case of non-availability of eligible ST students, the reservation will be opened to the SC category, and non-availability of SC, OBC (A and B) and physically challenged candidates, the reservation will be opened to general category ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA For students of Burdwan Municipal High School 1) SCIENCE - BENGALI MEDIUM: 75% marks in Science group (225 out of 300) and 70% marks in aggregate (i.e. 490) in the Secondary examination. 2) COMMERCE: Students of Burdwan Municipal High School who have passed the Secondary examination will be eligible for applying in COMMERCE section. 3) HUMANITIES/ARTS: 50% marks in aggregate. Students who secured minimum 55% marks in Geography and overall 50% marks in aggregate will be eligible to apply for Geography in Arts section. Students who secured minimum 60% marks in Mathematics will be eligible to apply for Mathematics in Arts and Commerce section.

4 For students of other schools 1) SCIENCE - (BENGALI MEDIUM): Students who have secured minimum 90% marks in aggregate (630/700) and 95% marks in Mathematics, Physical Science and Life Science (Science-Group) in the Madhyamik examination will be eligible for applying in SCIENCE Section. 2) COMMERCE SECTION: Students who have secured minimum 40% marks in aggregate (i.e. 280 out of 700) will be eligible to apply for Commerce section. 3) HUMANITIES/ARTS SECTION: Students, who have secured minimum 55% marks in aggregate in the Secondary Examination 2017, will be eligible to apply for Arts. 4) Students who have secured minimum 60% marks in Geography and overall 60% marks in aggregate will be eligible for applying Geography in Arts Section. 5) Students who have secured minimum 60% marks in Mathematics will be eligible to apply for Mathematics in Arts and Commerce section. 6) Relaxation of 5% marks in each category of SC, ST and OBC students (except students of Burdwan Municipal High School) will be given as per rule. THE FEE STRUCTURE FOR ADMISSION IN CLASS XI ADMISSION FEES Online Application for admission in class XI is being started and will continue from (DD/MM/YY, 00:00 am) to (DD/MM/YY, 00:00 am Midnight). The intending students may apply through online admission. The application fee can be submitted at the time of admission to the main branch of The Burdwan Central Co-Operative Bank LTD. All are requested to see the rules and regulations and schedule of online admission process. Subjects Admission Fees Lab based Subjects (without Computer) 1080/- Lab based Subjects (with Computer) 1590/- Non-Lab based Subjects 1020/- ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR CLASS XI FOR THE SESSION ) Applications are to be accepted through either online or through offline procedure. 2) Name of the Applicant (in block letters) is to be filled up according to the admit card of the Madhyamik or its equivalent examinations. 3) Category: Please select GEN/SC/ST/OBC A/OBC B/ PH.

5 4) Date of Birth (DOB) is to be written according to the admit card. 5) Candidates are to be selected according to the result in Madhyamik or its equivalent examinations. 6) The candidates, who have passed Madhyamik or its equivalent examinations before 2015, will not to be considered for admission in class XI ( ). 7) The school authority has the right to cancel the admission if any information in the application form is found to be suppressed or wrong. The decision of the school authority is final in case of admission. 8) All admissions are provisional until the school authority approves. 9) Applicants have to provide address in the application form. 10) Online application form will be available only in our official website : 11) Click on Click here for online submission of application form 12) For admission in Class XI (Science, Arts and Commerce) separate applications need to be submitted for separate courses. 13) The cost of Application Form is 30/- which will be deposited at the time of admission. 14) Applicant s copy of challan will have to be produced to the school at the time of admission. The second copy of the challan is to be submitted to the BCCB Main branch during deposition of money in the bank. Provisional merit list will be displayed in the school notice board and the website on the specified date. If there is any mistake, the incumbent should bring to notice of the school authority with necessary proof within specified time limit. Any application for the correction of mistakes will not be entertained after the specified date. ADMISSION NOTICE The date and time of admission will be notified on the date of publication of the Madhyamik Pariksha 2017 result. 6 Verification of documents Signature of guardian in Admission Register PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE ADMISSION 1) The first list will consist of names of candidates according to merit for admission against the given number of seats in each course (Science, Arts, Commerce). 2) The selected candidate will have to deposit the fees printed on the challan to the main branch of Co-operative Bank (G. T. Road, Burdwan). 3) The candidate will then have to show the school copy of admission challan along with the necessary documents (Mark sheet, Admit Card, School Leaving Certificate, Cast Certificate if any, PH certificates if any etc. both original and photocopies) to the school on dates specified by the school for verification. 4) After the first phase of verification, the names of candidates for vacant seats (if any) will be uploaded on the specified date. 5) Admission fees will have to be deposited in the bank as given above. 6) Documents will have to be submitted for verification on the specified date. 7) If a candidate who has already taken admission in the first phase, wishes to take admission in another course (Science, Arts or Commerce), whose name has been uploaded in the Merit List in the second phase, then the candidate has to submit a request for cancelling the earlier admission. The signed letter of request countersigned by his guardian has to be submitted with the paper of verification for the second course on the specified date. 8) If seats remain vacant for any course, admission will be done following the same procedure. 9) All candidates must check the school s official website after each date of verification.
