ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES Who should apply for admission? Any student who is successfully completing the 8 th, 9 th or 10 th grades may apply for admission to Trinity High School. Seniors are accepted only under special circumstances. Trinity welcomes students with varying learning needs. As a small, welcoming community, we are able to provide many of the same accommodations as public schools. Additionally, our school environment minimalizes classroom distractions and allows for greater focus and individualized attention. We successfully educate scores of students with IEPs and ISPs who come from public schools. It is best to speak with the Admission Office about your child s individual needs. How do students apply? Complete application and mail with a $50 fee to: Trinity High School Admissions Office, 581 Bridge St. Manchester, NH Bring completed Freshmen Recommendation Form to applicant s current school. Counselor should complete and return to Trinity along with a copy of student s transcripts. Check-in with your sending school often to ensure a smooth application process. Do applicants take an exam? Admission exams are required for applicants to the freshman and sophomore classes. We administer the STS High School Placement Test on specific dates. Are admission interviews required? Interviews are required of all transfer applicants. Freshman class applicants will be notified should an interview be required. Is financial aid available? A Trinity education should be accessible to any family that desires it. To that end, Trinity does have a limited financial aid program for families that qualify. Families must apply for financial aid online via the link on our website. Can we visit Trinity? Yes! Prospective students can shadow a current student through the school day while parents can call for a guided tour through the building. Trinity hosts an Open House, and we welcome anyone interested in Trinity to attend theater productions, athletic games, and band and choral concerts. What distinguishes Trinity from other schools? Our unique 3-in-1 education, which forms students in faith, scholarship and character. What is the average class size at Trinity? 15 students. The ratio of students to teachers in the building is 11.7:1. Do any non-catholics attend Trinity? Yes. The majority of our students are Catholic but students of all religious denominations can and do attend Trinity. Does Trinity offer college credit courses? Yes. We have both AP course offerings and running start (dual enrollment) programs that provide opportunities to earn college credit. Do all Trinity students take Theology classes? Yes. As a Diocesan Catholic high school, Trinity is committed to its central purpose of teaching the Gospel values within the teachings of the Catholic Church. Religion classes are required for all students, in all grades. Does Trinity have a dress code? Yes. All Trinity students are expected to take pride in their appearance. Our Parent/ Student Handbook (available at contains specific dress code regulations. Does Trinity provide transportation? No. Some towns without high schools do offer transportation to Trinity. Your town s educational office would have transportation information. Carpooling is also available. Does graduating from Trinity give students an advantage when applying to college? Yes. Trinity s reputation as a wellrounded, educational institution has helped the majority of our graduates not only attend their top-choice schools but also receive a large amount of merit money to help them afford it. The past four graduating classes have averaged over $17 million in non-athletic scholarship money. What percentage of Trinity students are involved in athletics and extracurriculars? Close to 99% of the Trinity student body becomes involved in some form of extracurricular activity. Does Trinity participate in the NH Scholars program? Yes. For the three years that Trinity has participated, 100% of our graduates have qualified for NH Scholar recognition. The program is designed to celebrate a four-year, rigorous core course of study. Many Pioneer graduates have also earned distinction in the areas of STEM (40%) and the Arts (32%) or both (26%).

7 Application Checklist APPLICATION DEADLINES: Fast Track Admissions- Catholic School Auto Acceptance Catholic school students looking for admission to Trinity High School will receive an invitation to join our community in late fall. Students will complete and return a registration form along with their tuition deposit to hold their place. Families who complete the Financial Aid application by December 1st will receive their financial aid packages on or around December 13. The tuition deposit is not refundable after December 30. Priority Admissions (Deadline: December 13) Any student looking for admission to Trinity High School may apply for Priority Admission. The application documents, along with the financial aid application (through FACTS) must be submitted by December 13, Admission letters and financial aid letters will go out together in early February. Deposit is required March 1, Regular Admissions/Rolling Admissions Any student looking for admission to Trinity High School after December 13 are considered Regular Admission and may submit their application materials on a rolling basis. Applicants will be granted admission to the school on a spaceavailable basis. Deposit due no later than two weeks after acceptance. To ensure a smooth admissions process, ensure you have submitted the following requirements: Application for Admission Application Essay Freshmen Recommendation Form (sign and give to sending school. The sending school will return this form with a transcript and any recent standardized test results for the applicant) Teacher Recommendation Forms (give to sending school) Scholastic Testing Service HSPT admissions exam results. SSAT results can be substituted.
