5 Editorial Higher education relevance and quality is the main forte to prepare students with apt and transferable knowledge, skills and core competencies elemental to their future success. Similarly, a higher education institution must create a high quality learning atmosphere acknowledging and supporting good teaching within a campus. Higher education curricula, albeit administered and well planned, are often reactive in response to changing needs of indigenous economy, and often at times struggle to preempt careers of tomorrow. Reformations with modernization of Balochistan is dependent on indigenous higher education methodologies for the competence and motivation of students, teachers and researchers, yet knowledge levels have often not kept pace with world academic dynamics, putting further pressure on already strained capacities. BUITEMS supports modernizing education methodologies to provide graduates with high-level employable skills, as well as the transferable skills that equip graduates for a fast-changing market. The University also anticipates a strong need for flexible, innovative learning approaches and delivery methods to improve quality and relevance. One key way of achieving this, in line with the HEC policy, is to exploit the transformational benefits of indigenous trainings and workshops and other new academic dissemination to enrich teaching, improve learning experiences and support personalized learning. Higher education innovation can best be learned through collaboration of two complementary entities despite their own respective knowledge scale. Pakistan-China collaboration in higher education has a significant and admirable timeline. China s commending attention and interest in Pakistan s preferment for expansion, quality improvement, and equity balance in higher education is a manifestation of its planned higher education innovative system and lessons cultured through its advancements. In the spirit of carpe diem, BUITEMS mandate involves seeking such collaboration for capacity building and performance improvement of our students and faculty. The University garners for professional and technical advice for developing opportunities for research collaboration and student and faculty exchange programs. Book fairs at BUITEMS are based on a confluence of psychology, behavior and the academic culture, despite limiting our organization of such events in numbers, is highly compensated for by the enthusiastic love, for our efforts, equally by our students, teachers, and staff.
