3 Ashir Ahmed, Ph.D. Rafiqul Islam Maruf, Dr.Eng. rector of GCC Founder and Director Global l Communication i Center (GCC) Grameen Communications Associate Professor Kyushu University Consultant Global l Communication Center (GCC) Grameen Communications Chief Coordinator SSW Project Mess sage from Project Di GramWeb, a One Village One Portal project of GCC, has the goal of connecting the villages of Bangladesh and it is the villagers who are fundamental to the achievement of this goal. Thus, we have started visiting villages to learn from the villagers themselves about their resources, their pride, their culture in the hope of creating new opportunities. I am thankful to the volunteers, sponsors, partners and SSW team members for their hard work and cooperation. Of course, I also thank the villagers who welcomed us with warm hospitality and became GramWeb family members. GramWeb now has thousands of new members: each one a treasure and a valued resource. Mess sage from Ch hief Coordin nator of SSW Program Grameen has been working for the improvement of the living standard of the unreached village people since it's inception by bringing various social services to their reach. Being a Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) based R&D wing of Grameen Communications, Global Communication Center (GCC) has been working to make these social services more affordable, accessible and easy to use with the aid of ICT. The participation of Toyota Automobile Company of Japan in the Social Services on Wheels (SSW) program of GCC helped us to practically reach our ICT aided social service to the doorsteps of the rural people. We are very much amazed to see the pubic attendance, their participation and reactions after availing the services in each of the village event. I, therefore, would like to convey our special thanks to Toyota for their support and cooperationinthisproject. Besides, this program could not be possible without the supports and cooperation of all our valued partners and sponsors and the local host of each village. I would like to convey our sincere thanks and gratitude to all of you.
