2 WHo? WH0? WHAT? About Art With a Heart About The Gala The mission of Art With a Heart (AWaH) is to educate and inspire underserved youth through hands-on visual arts experiences. These programs uniquely reinforce academics and instill confidence, benefiting children in their school environment and in the community. The organization was founded in 2002 and serves over 2,000 students each school year. AWaH is a standards-driven fine art curriculum that teaches at 25 locations around Indianapolis. Our vision is that all children, regardless of background, have the opportunity to improve their quality of life through artistic expression. The gala is the organization s primary fundraising tool and all net proceeds are directly invested into programming. The 2017 Gala will bring a new format designed to expand the opportunity to tell the story of AWaH in deeper, more meaningful ways and to engage guests in a rich, active and creative celebration of our work. In addition, the gala will serve as the awards ceremony for two new annual achievement awards. These awards honor the work of one AWaH volunteer or teacher and one community philanthropist in recognition of their support of arts education in Indianapolis.

The lively evening for 250 guests will feature interactive displays, games, a Chef's Food and Wine Tasting, pop art zones showcasing art from both student and professional artists. These artistic masterpieces will be available to The awards program along with a wine pull and other activities round out the evening.
