History 1995 Marbella Design Academy was founded in downtown Marbella. 2008 the Academy moved to its own large specially designed facility in Monda, 15 km. from Marbella.

Our graduated students have a near 100% employment rate!

Where are we? Marbella Design Academy is situated only 15 km from Marbella and within walking distance from the picturesque whitewashed Spanish village of Monda.

7 Where are we? Marbella Design Academy is situated only 15 km from Marbella and within walking distance from the picturesque whitewashed Spanish village of Monda. About 90 % of the students live in Monda and benefit from the comparatively low cost of living as well as the proximity to the Academy. Monda has become a small university village where the students can visit each other easily or get together at one of the many cafes enjoying the Spanish lifestyle outside tuition hours. Accommodation in Monda is inexpensive. For example: Two students sharing a furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment pay on average rent of 250 Euros a month per person all included. Living costs are also low. SIERRA DE LAS NIEVES Monda and Marbella Design Academy is situated in an spectacular area nestled between the Alpujata Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea within the forested UNESCO protected Biosphere Reserve of the Sierra de de la Nieves.

8 Marbella Design Academy in Monda The Academy is only a 5 minute walk from Monda and only 15 minutes from the centre of Marbella and the popular shopping center of La Cañada. Buses run regularly from Monda to Marbella, Malaga and other cultural sites. The Academy is within easy reach of the vibrant cultural centres of Malaga, Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Granada and less than a 2-hour drive from the beautiful ski resort of Sierra Nevada. The Airport is a 30 minute drive from the Academy. All the major airlines offer very competitive low-cost round-trips to and from the Malaga International Airport. Monda has a regular bus service, connecting to all major cities in Spain via Marbella or Malaga. With the fast speed train the AVE, from Malaga you can reach Madrid within 2,5 hours.

Students coming from English international schools do not need to sit for this exam. 11 Fees MARBELLA DESIGN ACADEMY KEEP THE SAME FEES FOR ALL STUDENTS We believe students should chose their programmes according to their passion and not based on different costs. Therefore it is our policy to keep our fees the same for all students within our Bachelor of Arts validated Programmes, for our Foundation Courses and for each of our Summer Courses. This policy makes our Academy even more attractive for international students. FEES FOR THE BACHELOR OF ARTS VALIDATED PROGRAMMES Fee per academic year: Registration Fee: 500 (to be paid once only in the first year) The Bachelor of Arts validated programmes begin twice per year, in January and in September. The academic year runs with two intakes per year: From the middle of January to the middle of December, OR From the middle of September to the middle of June. Please see the Fees and Entry Requirements: FEES FOR THE FOUNDATION COURSES The Fee for the 12 weeks Foundation Course: 2.500Euros. This Course starts twice per year in June and in September. FEES FOR THE SUMMER COURSES The Fees for the Summer Courses are the same for all the courses: 400Euros per week. The courses vary in length from 2 to 5 weeks during July and August each Summer.

Graduate students from Marbella Design Academy are awarded UK Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degrees in Graphic Design by our UK Partner University. Graphic Design is a creative process combining art and technology to communicate ideas. The Graphic Designer works with a variety of communication tools in order to convey a powerful message to a particular audience. Graphic Designers create everything from book covers, logos and packaging to advertising campaigns, websites, videos and help build entire corporate images. The field of graphic design is as varied as the employment opportunities that follow. A skilled graphic design can dramatically improve the sales figures of a company. The Graphic Design programme offered to students at Marbella Design Academy has been created to combine high academic standards with a thorough immersion into contemporary techniques, placing Marbella Design Academy alongside the best Design Schools in the World. Graduate students from Marbella Design Academy are awarded UK Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degrees in Interior Architecture by our UK Partner University. At Marbella Design Academy we take great pride in developing the future generation of Interior Architects. We offer our graduates a high standard of education in all subjects, as well as an extensive proficiency in the latest technologies including computer programs such as: AutoCad, 3D MAX, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. The Interior Architecture programme at Marbella Design Academy is designed to meet the highest academic standards and goals. Our mission is to equip the students with all the professional skills and understanding in order to explore and apply the creative potential of interior architecture to the highest academic level. Our students are taught to express their ideas, resolve design, ergonomic and functionality problems all within a given budget. Fashion is a huge industry and if you want to help shape the trends of the future, and feel passionate about expressing art via the clothes you wear, then Fashion Design is for you. Many designers that graduate from Marbella Design Academy continue on to either follow their dreams and create their own label, or choose employment with one of the many established Fashion Houses locally or abroad. Spain is a major focal point for fashion design, including the Zara fashion empire with hundreds of stores worldwide. By choosing to study fashion design at Marbella Design Academy, you will find yourself thrust into a hub of internationally acclaimed Fashion Designers and creative people. Students younger than 18 during their first academic year of the BA (Hons) validated programme. Students in doubt as to which BA validated programme to choose.
