2 Perpetually In Motion Much like our theme, the weather for the 2018 Saint Louis Art Fair was perpetually in motion!

The 2018 Commemorative Print and Chehak s constant pursuit for evolution and improvement exemplify this year s Saint Louis Art Fair theme, Perpetually in Motion, as we reflect on the past 25 years of

The series currently includes ten pieces, all similar in style but each playing differently with color, size and shape.

3 The 2018 Commemorative Print and Chehak s constant pursuit for evolution and improvement exemplify this year s Saint Louis Art Fair theme, Perpetually in Motion, as we reflect on the past 25 years of the event. The chosen print, Village Reflection, is a part of Chehak s Reflection Series that utilizes dry acrylic paint on heavy watercolor paper. The series currently includes ten pieces, all similar in style but each playing differently with color, size and shape. The inspiration for Chehak s art comes from objects that catch his eye and his experiences, such as a hillside in the Mediterranean covered in small houses that influenced some of his architectural-based pieces. Chehak strives to paint pieces that will fit as easily on the walls of a building in New York as they would in California commemorative print Village Reflection - JOHN CHEHAK S A I N T L O U I S A RT F A I R S E P T E M B E R Village Reflection, John Chehak Over the past quarter of a century, attendees have wined, dined, shopped and experienced premier live music, performance, and art. This year s theme of Perpetually in Motion captures the essence of this annual gathering that never stops growing, creating and evolving. It s also a testament to how the St. Louis Region has developed into a premier arts destination for more than 40% of attendees traveling from outside the Greater St. Louis area. Cultural Festivals commissioned Jeff and Carl Zachmann (father and son) to create a kinetic sculpture to symbolize the Saint Louis Art Fair and City of Clayton s long-term partnership. In Spring of 2019, the piece will find its home in the newly renovated Center of Clayton. public art commission
