1 2004 Islamic Prayer Calendar Metro Richmond, Virginia USA Qibla Direction: 56 degrees ast from True orth Prayer calendars for other cities are available on request This calendar gives best possible prayer times for different madhabs (school of thoughts) and is consistent with Islamic Fiqh (jurisprudence) principles and astronomical phenomenon. Prayer times calculations for Fajr (morning) and Ishaa (evening) prayers used the recommendations by the Muslim orld League s Fiqh Council and a committee of astronomers who met in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Asr (late afternoon) prayer times are delayed, as they are based on Hanafi school of thought and thus satisfies every madhab. Two minutes were added to Maghrib (sunset) prayer times for added margin of safety. Starting date of a Islamic month is just a estimate and is subject to actual moon sighting.
