2 About RUEA RUEA was established on 15 November 2007, in accordance with the Labor Code of RA and the requirements of the law on Employers Unions adopted by the National Parliament of Armenia in February Republic Union of Employers of Armenia is a self financing, self governing, non profit organization and as a legal entity is registered by the state register of central body RA, Ministry of Justice. RUEA unites 6 regional, 5 sectoral unions and has over members. 2

8 CHRONOMETRICALLY IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITIES IN THE SPHERE OF YOUTH EMPLOYMENT BY RUEA Promotion of education labor market cooperation throughout different projects and activities Towards youth employment in Armenia, The first national conference regarding youth employment was organized in 2008 Publication of Advices for choice of proper education and how to be integrated to the labor market manual 8

9 CHRONOMETRICALLY IMPLEMENTED ACTIVITIES IN THE SPHERE OF YOUTH EMPLOYMENT BY RUEA Creation of efficient network between schools (15 in Yerevan, 15 in regions), collages (over 20), professional schools (10) and universities (4 state and 7 private). Several education centers have become our members, 2008 VET Development National Council and VET Development National Center, 21 members and 7 from employers organizations VET Development National Center and VET Development national council (2008) Promotion of social partnership in education labor market cooperation: high level VET DNC, medium level VET DN Center, low level managing boards of collages and professional institutions, curriculum design and monitoring RUEA VET Journal (since 2008) Trainings on Start and improve your business (2009 till now) 9

German program, exchange of German experience in the scope of social dialogue in education sphere, March 2011 OSH Training of 133 Lecturers of VET Educational Institutions, November December 2011 Cooperation with universities (state and private) 11

12 RUEA best practice Comprehensive study of youth employment issues. Publication of handbook and VET Journal based on those studies. Interns at RUEA for obtaining practice, who participate in various initiatives of RUEA, i.e. surveys, conferences, roundtables, discussions, etc. (from 2008 to present, over 60 inters) 12
