12 Centre for European Studies (CES) The CES is a multi-disciplinary department in the SIS which aims to promote teaching, research, and outreach activities that improve the understanding of Europe, the EU and Indo-European/India-EU affairs This is one of the new Centres in the School which became functional in 2005 Currently 60 students are on the rolls of the Centre for MPhil/Ph.D programme. Students are pursuing research on wide ranging issues of security, economy, European integration, societyand politics 12
