30 Other Helpful Information Magnet Programs If your student is accepted into an RHS magnet program, Mrs. Thomas-Wright, magnet coordinator, will meet at a later date with your student at his/her junior high campus to revise course selections. For pre-registration purposes, select courses as though your student is NOT in a magnet program.
31 Other Helpful Information Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit hours by participating in the Dual Credit Program, a partnership with Richland College, or the UT On- Ramps Program, a partnership with University of Texas at Austin. Students can elect to take college-level coursework and earn high school credit and college credit simultaneously. Dual Credit courses are offered both on the RHS campus and the Richland campus.
32 Other Helpful Information Top 10% Rule Per state law, students who are in the top 10% of their class at the end of 11 th grade, end of first semester in 12 th grade, or at high school graduation are eligible for automatic admission to a Texas public university. Deadlines and completion of admissions applications apply. (Exception: UT-Austin--% may be lower; announced September of Junior year.)
