29 GPA EXEMPTIONS What is it? How do I use it? Credit awarded, but grade not calculated into GPA Juniors & Seniors only Use when Fearful of poor or failing grade in an upper level course A high grade in a regular elective course would bring GPA down EXAMPLE: If GPA is 12.83, a 100 (12.0) would lower your GPA Process Must declare during 1 st 3 weeks of each semester Must be a course that is not required by graduation plan Get form from teacher Turn in completed form to Counselor
