10 New Teacher Pathway Designed for students interested in careers working with children, ex: teacher preschool teacher childcare worker, etc. These classes connect learning in the classroom with real world applications Completion of the pathway (both classes) will allow you the opportunity to apply for preschool and childcare jobs while going to college. 11 Child Development Grades: 9th-12th Prerequisites: none Course Overview: UC approved g elective Learn developmental stages of children from conception to early adolescence Focus on emotional/psychological, cognitive, and physical development, and on the influence of heredity and environmental factors to help you better understand children
12 Principles of Teaching & Learning Grades: 11th-12th Prerequisites: required cumulative GPA of 2.3 or higher recommended completion of Child Development Course Description: UC approved g elective 2 period block, which includes 3 days working in a classroom at Glenview Elementary during class time This class covers learning theories, trends in education, classroom management, effective teaching & curriculum.
13 Air Force Junior ROTC Go on field trips to special seminars, military bases, aerospace museums, local universities, and other points of interest. Earn scholarships for college, including the U.S. Air Force Academy & other service academies, as well as other types of career training.

Award given to recognize students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation Attractive to future employers and college admissions offices How to get it? Successfully complete all Language Arts classes with a GPA of 2.0 or above, and earn a score of 3 or 4 on the 11th grade CA state standardized test Demonstrate proficiency in a World Language by one of the following; Pass AP World Language Exam with a score of 3 or higher Successfully complete 4th year of World Language with an overall weighted GPA of 3.0 or above Pass SAT II World Language exam with a score of 600 or higher

25 Link Crew / Orientation Thursday, August 17th, :00 am 12:00 pm Freshmen get linked up with an upper classman who will be their Link Crew Leader for Freshman year. Event includes: Introduction to high school including the dos and don ts Activities with Link Crew Leaders and small group of classmates Guided tour of campus Activities with freshmen and Link Crew Leaders will be held throughout the school year
26 Back to School Days Friday, August 18th, :00 am - 11:00 am Turn in registration paperwork, have school picture taken, purchase ASB card, PE clothes, yearbook, and spirit wear Students will receive their list of classes Counselors available to see students on a walk-in basis
