1 ALL students must meet Dual Credit Eligibility before taking ANY college course. This requires testing in Reading, Writing/Essay and, as relevant to the prerequisites for the course being taken. Students must maintain a C or better in all Dual Credit classes to continue in the Dual Credit Program. ENGLISH To Take: ENGL 1301 If the student does not have Reading and Writing exemption or waiver scores; Composition and Rhetoric I Exemptions for Academic and Workforce Education Courses STAAR EOC,, and are valid for 5 years from the date of testing. STAAR EOC Critical Reading 500+ English III Reading and Combined score of 480 Reading Level II 2000* and English 19+ and 1070+* (No composite required) and English III Writing Composite 23+* (The combined score must Writing equal sum of 1070 or higher Level II 2000* by adding the Critical Reading and scores together.)
