2 EASTER Holiday courses 2018 Cricket Sherborne Prep are pleased to be offering a wide range of sport and activity courses throughout the Easter Holidays We are welcoming children, aged 6-13, to join us at Sherborne Prep for an exciting variety of courses and experiences on a non-residential basis. All courses are open to boys and girls of all abilities and with a dedicated team of staff and expert coaches, parents can be confident that their children will be well cared for, learn new skills and importantly have plenty of fun within the friendly environment of Sherborne Prep. 3 NETBALL This course will be led by our very experienced netball coach, Lex Hamilton. Lex joined us at Sherborne Prep in 2014 and has coached many of our teams of all ages to success over the years. Improve all aspects of your child s game - Expert coaching - Technique - Game play - Competition ART Head of Art at Sherborne Preparatory School, Fernando Velazquez, will be leading these exciting art courses aimed at developing young artistic talent and inspiring the creative mind. Fernando is a renowned artist who has exhibited individually in London, New York and Madrid and has also participated in many collective exhibitions throughout Europe and America. In addition, Fernando has collaborated in a number of prestigious events such as The Ormely Dinner, The Ecology Trust, The Aspinall Foundation and the Tusk Modern Art Auction as part of the BAFTAS Awards in London. The course will offer the opportunity to create art in a relaxed and stimulating environment where support and guidance will be provided as one to one tuition. There will be a modern approach to landscape with oils, a 3D project and watercolour studies. 4 HOCKEY This course will be led by Keith Walters who is the England Hockey Community Coach for South Somerset. Originally qualifiying as a hockey coach in the early 90`s, Keith has since gone on to expand his qualifications to become a qualified umpire, assessor and coach mentor. 5 HOLIDAY COURSES TERMS & CONDITIONS 2018 All courses to be paid in full to reserve a place. Joining instructions which contain important information regarding the course will be sent to all parents/guardians by in advance of the course (approximately two weeks before the course start date). Please inform us of any changes to your address after submitting an application form. Sherborne Prep reserves the right to cancel the course up to 7 days before the start date due to unforeseen circumstances or if numbers enrolled have not reached the minimum requirement. A complete refund of the fee will be given or an alternative course will be offered. Refunds will only be given in the event of the course being cancelled by Sherborne Prep. The fee is non-refundable in all other cases once paid. All fees paid will be forfeited by anyone cancelling a course within 14 days of the course start date. The deadline for the receipt of applications is 72 hours before the applicant s first proposed day of participation. There is no guarantee that a course can be offered after this time, therefore, please do not arrive on the first day of the course expecting a place as there may not be one available. If a course is full, names will be added to a waiting list on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this does not guarantee a place on the course. You will be contacted prior to the course if a place becomes available. Welfare Sherborne Prep reserves the right to withdraw any participant from a course for behaviour we deem to be detrimental to the smooth-running of the course or which might interfere with the safety of any other participants on the course. Regulations made for the safety and comfort of course participants must be observed. Sherborne Prep cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss or damage to property or any injury sustained by participants. Course participants are strongly advised to take out accident/curtailment insurance. First aid cover is available throughout the course and minor analgesics (paracetamol), throat lozenges and cough linctus may be dispensed. By signing the Sherborne Prep Holiday Courses Application Form you are giving consent for this treatment if required unless written objection is received in advance. Any further treatment required will be administered by a local surgery or hospital. Names, photographs and videos may be taken and used electronically for marketing purposes, online and/or in print. Objections will be respected - please make these in writing to the Course Co-ordinators no later than 72 hours before the course start date. Any personal mobile/electronic devices are brought in at the child s own risk and they must not be used for any photographic or social media purposes whilst on the premises. Any instructions from the course leaders regarding the use of devices during their sessions must be strictly adhered to. It is the parents responsibility to ensure that their child is aware of this. Under no circumstances should any photos and videos be taken in any toilets or changing facilities. Sherborne Prep is a non-smoking campus, therefore smoking is strictly prohibited.
