8 Course Recommendations and Waivers Course Recommendations Students are placed in courses based on pre-requisite criteria. Prerequisites reflect skills and levels of achievement needed for success in a desired course. Proper academic placement is essential for academic success Waivers A parent may request placement in a desired course that was not recommended by completing a waiver during the month of March. The request will be reviewed by the guidance counselor, and any additional information that may be relevant since the initial recommendation will be reviewed
