I hope that all of our students had two great days of school. Please join us next week on Tuesday, August 9th for Open House!! It will begin promptly at 5:45 for students with 0 hour classes and at 6pm for 1st period. If your student is participating in a fall sport, there will be a Fall Sports Meeting at 5pm in the Auditorium prior to the start of Open House! Attached is an updated schedule with information about Open House! Remember if your student plays a fall sport to attend the fall athletic meeting beforehand!!! Playing a School Fall Sport or Participating in Cheerleading, Band or Color Guard? You can use these activities to waive your PE requirement!! Consider applying for the Alternative PE credit! Please complete the student agreement and turn in to Ms. Paty Hanzlik in the College and Career Center. You will need to log your hours with your team and complete a written exam after your season ends (no physical exam required). Fall Activities must turn in this form on or before August 31st to be considered for the fall!!! NO EXCEP- TIONS! Beginning on Monday, August 8th, we will be having required class cohort meetings during conference period. All Freshmen must report to the Auditorium at 7:45 on Monday for their class meeting. Our sophomore class meeting will be the following day, August 9th! Next week we will meet with our juniors and seniors! Please remind your student they must attend! Our first Parents Association Meeting of the year will take place in the Library ta 7pm on Monday, Au- Friday, August 5, 2016 gust 8th. We welcome ALL of our parents to attend!! Welcome UHS Chess Coach Mr. Julian Mirano!!! He will be having the first Chess team meeting on Tuesday, August 9th after school until 4:30 in his classroom, room T-14. All experienced and new chess players are welcome!! It is time to bring the State Championship back to UHS! Are you an Amazon Shopper?
