1 CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2018 CLAT 2018 DETAILS: Organising University THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ADVANCED LEGAL STUDIES (NUALS) HMT Colony P.O., Kochi, Kerala ONLINE APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR ADMISSION TO THE UNDER-GRADUATE AND POST-GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES IN LAW ( ) IN THE NINTEEN NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITIES IN INDIA IMPORTANT DATES: Here we have mentioned all the official exam date and events related to CLAT 2018: Events Dates (Announced) Notification Date December 2017 Availability of Online Application Form 1st January 2018 Closing date of Application Submission along with order of 31st March 2018 preferences for NLUs Issue Date of Admit Card 3rd week of April 2018 Date of Examination 13th May 2018 (3:00 PM to 5:00 PM) Publishing of Answer Key 3rd week of May 2018 Announcement of Result (issue of merit list) 4th week of May 2018 Counselling Commence 1st week of June 2018 Closure of Admission 1st week of July 2018 Application Fee: The application fee of CLAT 2018 is different for different categories which is as follows: Application Category Fee General/OBC/SAP and other category Rs. 4000/- candidates SC/ST category candidates Rs. 3500/- Application fee is to be paid online only through net banking/credit card or debit card. For UG Integrated Courses: Age Criteria: There will be no upper age limit to apply for CLAT Qualification Eligibility: The candidate will be considered eligible for CLAT if he/she has passed the 12th examination with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates appearing the 12th examination in March/April will also be eligible for CLAT Such candidates have to produce the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission. - 1-

Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in April/May 2018 may also apply. Age Limit: No prescribed maximum age limit for PG courses.

2 For PG Courses: Qualifying Examination: The prescribed qualification for LL.M. is LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exam. Minimum Marks: Minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination should be 55% for unreserved /OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP). In case of SC/ST, the minimum marks would be 50%. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in April/May 2018 may also apply. Age Limit: No prescribed maximum age limit for PG courses. For UG Courses: Courses: The online examination of CLAT will be held for integrated UG law courses. Mode of Examination: Exam will be held in online mode (computer Based Test). Type of Questions: Only objective type questions of maximum 200 marks will be asked from each subject areas. Exam Duration: The duration of CLAT exam will be 2 hours. Question Paper Medium: The language of question paper will be English only. Marking Scheme: Each right answer will be awarded with 1 mark. Negative Marking: There is a system of negative marking mark will be subtracted for each wrong answer. Mode of Examination: Exam will be held in online mode (computer Based Test). Type of Questions: Only multiple-choice questions of maximum 150 marks will be asked from each subject areas. Exam Duration: The duration of CLAT exam will be 2 hours. Question Paper Medium: The language of question paper will be English only. Marking Scheme: Each right answer will be awarded with 1 mark.
