39 Freshman Science Courses Environmental Science CP (Algebra I CP) Environmental Science H (Geometry CP) Environmental science is the study of human interactions with the living and nonliving world. It is an interdisciplinary, laboratory science which engages the students in exploring topics such as interrelationships and use of the land, air and water spheres of the Earth, ecosystems, climate, biodiversity, populations, energy resources and human health. Biology CP (Geometry CP) Biology H (Geometry H) Biology is the study of the biochemical, physiological, and evolutionary aspects of the living world. It is a laboratory science which engages the students in exploring the basic phenomena associated with living things including organization and development, matter and energy transformations, interdependence, heredity and reproduction, as well as evolution and diversity. Chemistry H (Algebra II H) Chemistry is the study of the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter. It is a laboratory science which engages the students in exploring atomic theory, kinetic theory, chemical formula and equation writing, stoichiometric relationships, quantum chemistry, equilibrium, and practical applications of chemistry.
