9 C.C.C. Ming Yin College Annual Athletic Meet Notice for the competitors 1. Competitors should participate in proper sports gear. If not, they will be disqualified. 2. Numbers for the competitors should be pinned on the breast of the T-shirt. If not, they will be disqualified. 3. Competitors should do warm-up exercises before participating in the different events to reduce the chances of injury. 4. The time for the different events is set on the programme. If there are any on site changes in the schedule it will be announced and be the official schedule. 5. There will only be two announcements for each event, that is the first and the final calls. 6. Competitors should report to the Marshaling point 15 minutes before the competition begins, sit down quietly according to instruction and be shown to the competing area by the marshaling assistants. Those who are not present after their names/numbers are called for 3 times will be considered to be giving up and not participating in the competition. 7. Prize Giving: Prizes will be given out after the finals of each event. Winners should report to the Prize-Giving Area in front of the Control Center immediately after hearing the announcement to receive they prizes. 8. In case of a clash in the schedule for Field Events and Track Events, competitors should ask for leave from the Field Judges, participate in the Track Event then the Field Event. 9. To avoid unnecessary dangers, no one except those who are participating in the Field Events is allowed to walk on the lawn in the middle of the sports ground. 10. Lanes/order of competitors for all events will be pre-arranged. There will not be any drawing of lots. 11. Field Events No trial is allowed unless the name of the competitor is called by the Field Judges. 12.The best eight competitors in the heats will be the finalists. If there are two competitors in the eighth position in the heats, there will only be seven finalists.
