1 MOHEGAN ELEMENTARY WRAP-UP December 8, 2017 MR. WILLIAM G. KLINEFELTER, PRINCIPAL PTO FAMILY FUN NIGHT The Mohegan PTO will be sponsoring a Family Fun Night tonight, December 8th, from 6:00pm to 8:00-pm. This will be a free craft night, however, donations are accepted and appreciated. Crafts include snowflake ornaments, pinecone bird feeders, 860 Rocks and leaf pressing. Pizza will be $1 per slice and juice boxes and water will be $.50. Parents must accompany their children. Come and enjoy creating with your children at Mohegan!! Mohegan Elementary School is eager to help the community. For one week (Friday Dec 1st to Friday Dec 8th), we are collecting cans for the Montville Senior Center to help with food baskets this holiday season. The school goal is to collect 500 cans. Each grade level's goal is to collect 100 cans. Please send canned goods in with your child to help us reach our goal and give back to our community. 3 MOHEGAN LIBRARY BOOK FUNDRAISER We have reached 23% of our goal! Help our library purchase books for our students. Donate a little or a lot during this holiday season of giving. It s easy---donate online with a credit card to help us reach our goal of $1,000 (approximately 50 books). Our book vendor, Follett, will match 10% of every dollar raised. 7 MLAX P.O. BOX 69 Oakdale, CT What is Lacrosse? Lacrosse originated as a Native American sport and emulates aspects of soccer, hockey, basketball, and other sports. Played on a field larger than a regular football field, it entails running, catching and shooting using a stick and ball. Boys and Girls games are similar but have very different rules. If interested, US Lacrosse has great references for players, parents, and coaches. Visit When is the Season? The season runs from March to mid June. Team practices and games will take place 3-4x a week, including weekends. Games are played throughout southeastern CT. Questions? Contact us by or call any Board member.
