7 Athletic Stipends Supplemental Pay Schedules Coaches are expected to do the job for which they are employed. However, for the purpose of clarifying the minimum number of regular working days for coaches, the following will be used: 1. All middle and high school coaches will attend in-service (coach s) activities as scheduled. 2. Coaches assisting with football and volleyball will report for duty as stipulated by the head coach of their assigned campus. Additionally, there will be times during the school year, after completion of the season during summer, when coaches may be assigned duties by their head coach or principal. These duties will fall within the realm of their responsibility as a coach in the Lake Worth Independent School District. 3. Special meetings, in-service training, and special demands of the job may require a coach to occasionally work extra days. 4. Athletic stipends are paid on a 12-month basis. In addition, these may be paid to attract employees in hard-to-fill positions. If an employee left the district and then came back to the district, the latest employment years are the only years that qualify Compensation Plan 10 Lake Worth ISD
11 o For instance, an employee works 6 years for the district, leaves the district and then comes back and works 5 years prior to this year, then only 5 years will count towards the Longevity Stipend. The longevity stipend will be spread out over a 12-month period. Qualifying years: (1) based on TRS guidelines, (2) based on the employees calendar, (3) employee must have 90 days of service prior to the end of their calendar from the previous year.
