2 Registration Process (Students who entered as a freshman 11-12, 12-13) Select 4 core classes (One of each - Math, English, History, Science) Select 4 elective courses. The following elective courses are requirements for graduation. Counselors will work with you to assure that all of these requirements have been met. Life PE 1 credit Computer Elective ½ credit Fine Art ½ credit Health Education ½ credit

4 Advanced Academic Endorsement Diploma Requirements (Students who entered as a freshman 11-12, 12-13) All regular diploma requirements plus the following: 2 credits of foreign language (in the same language) 1 AP credit Algebra 2 with Trigonometry If you do not want to be considered for this endorsement, an OPT-OUT form must be turned in to the guidance office!

16 Academy of Hospitality and Tourism This program prepares students for careers that allow for travel and work with a variety of people. Careers can be found all over the world and range anywhere from hotel and restaurant operations to working in amusement parks and other tourist destinations. 17 Business Academy The Marketing, Sales and Services courses prepare students for careers in advertising, public relations, sales and planning. Students will demonstrate creativity through promotional campaigns, event planning and new sales techniques. 18 Construction Academy The Building Construction program prepares students for careers that allow you to design, plan, manage, build and maintain structures such as buildings, homes and bridges or machinery. 19 Engineering/STEM Academy The Engineering Academy will prepare students for college-level programs through the integration of technical and academic skills in lecture, discussion, lab work, individual and group projects, and field experience. Students interested in STEM careers can develop a better understanding of the requirements to enter this field, as well as the opportunities a career in engineering can provide. 21 Medical Academy The Medical Academy offers students the opportunity to explore various career options in the medical field as well as provide foundational knowledge of the human anatomy, medical terms, medical conditions and treatments. Qualifying students are given the opportunity to participate in high quality medical internships and student trainer internships during their senior year. 23 Naval JROTC Naval JROTC is a leadership and citizenship course which develops confidence, character, self discipline and motivation. In addition to varied classroom activities and study of American History and Naval Science, NJROTC Cadets have opportunities to travel and compete with the Drill, Shooting and Color Guard Teams. 24 Dual Enrollment Opportunities in Collaboration with Calhoun Community College A representative from Calhoun Community College will meet with students at the beginning of each semester to discuss requirements and to register students for classes. 25 Dual Enrollment English Composition 101/102 6 credit hours Cost TBD by Calhoun Community College These courses are embedded in the AP Literature 12 class. Students are required to take the AP exam in May. History 201/202 6 credit hours Cost TBD by Calhoun Community College These courses are embedded in the AP US History class. Students are required to take the AP exam in May. Math 112/113 6 credit hours Cost TBD by Calhoun Community College These courses are embedded in the Pre-AP Pre-Calculus class.
