8 IGCSE English This course allows learners to: develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively when speaking and writing learn how to use a wide range of vocabulary, and the correct grammar, spelling and punctuation develop a personal style and an awareness of the audience being addressed read widely, both for their own enjoyment and to further their awareness of the ways in which English can be used develop more general analysis and communication skills such as synthesis, inference, and the ability to order facts and present opinions effectively

25 The Application Process Before Lottery Read the Cambridge documents and review the Cambridge Student Profile to determine if the Cambridge AICE Program is a fit for you Commit to preparation needed to enroll in either IGCSE Mathematics or Mathematics Year 1 Complete the LWSD High School Choice School Application for Cambridge Program and submit it online by Friday, January 19, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.

26 The Application Process After the Choice School Lottery Participate in student/parent group conference with Cambridge representatives Bring forms (teacher information and parent statements) Bring detailed current grade reports Final acceptance notification due to Juanita High School on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 (Acceptance results in removal from other LWSD wait lists.)
