1 1. BOSTON LATIN SCHOOL JCL STILL THE LARGEST CHAPTER IN THE WORLD! During one of the General Assemblies in front of the 1500 plus attendees, Boston Latin School, with our over 400 members, was recognized as the largest JCL chapter in existence! All sponsors Sal Bartoloma, Beth Moguel, Dustin Brownell, Sheri Hausey, Michael Howard, Tamara Bauer, Meg Burns, Michael Mordine, Heather Nabbefeld, Catherine Foley, Patrick Finnigan & John Kerpan--were recognized by name and of course this accomplishment would not have been possible without all members of the Classics Department who have instilled such a love of the Classics in their students! MAXIMAS GRATIAS!! 2. CERTAMEN Congratulations to the members of all three levels of Massachusetts certamen teams for making it into finals! It is an amazing honour and accomplishment for even one team to make the final three let alone that all three teams would scale such heights of accomplishment. We are particularly thrilled this year because for the first time ever all the team members team and all the coaches who represented the state of Massachusetts were from Boston Latin School. We are so proud to have brought this honour to our state and school. This accomplishment was made possible by the BLS members who have studied and worked tirelessly all year and especially throughout June and July.
