All applications must be received by August 3rd, Elmira Soccer Camp Curriculum Elmira District Soccer Camp (Grades K 6): At this age, kids are developing at a rapid rate. Each training session is based around maximizing the number of touches each player receives on the ball. Every player will have their own ball to work with and down time between activities is limited to ensure players get the most out of each day. The formula is simple: the more work the player gets with the ball, the more comfortable they become with it at their feet. Early development of these technical skills is essential to develop complete players as they mature. Players will be taught proper technique in shooting, distribution, and receiving while playing games that are fast-paced and fun. Every day is structured to be not only enjoyable, but informative and purposeful. Is there anything I need to bring to camp? Each camper should come dressed to play. Proper attire would be shorts, a T-shirt, and either soccer shoes or sneakers. Shin guards are mandatory. Water is provided. Many players like to bring their own sports drink for the sessions. Goalkeepers must provide their own goalkeeping gloves if desired. Players should bring their own ball. What if a player is injured?
