3 Examination Paper Information Types of Examination Papers Multiple Choice Examination Paper: Information/ questions are given and students must record their answers on a personalized multiple choice answer sheet. Unstructured Examination Papers: Information/questions are given in an examination paper (question booklet) however there is no space to answer questions in the examination paper; as a result, candidates are required to write answers on accompanying answer booklets. Structured Examination Papers: The examination paper is structured to include spaces where the candidate answers the question in the examination paper. Semi-Structured Examination Paper: Part of the examination paper is structured to provide spaces for the candidate to answer the question(s) (usually Section A). The remainder of the examination paper is unstructured and does not provide any space for the candidate to write their responses; thus the candidate must record responses on accompanying answer booklets. Script: The examination package bundled with a string tag that is submitted to IBO. This will include: The answer cover sheet (contains candidate name and examination information). The structured or semi-structured examination paper. Any accompanying answer booklets (for unstructured and semi-structured examination papers) Any graph paper used. 3 P a g e
