3 BASKETBALL Shamrock Head Basketball Coach Mike Bailey and his assistants will conduct all camps. Participants will receive a camp t-shirt and a Saint Patrick Basketball. FUNDAMENTAL - Boys, Grades 5-8 This camp is designed to help young players build a sound fundamental base for the game. Campers will focus on improving weaknesses and developing abilities. Each day will be devoted to basic fundamentals. Campers attending multiple sessions, the drills will be progressive. #1 June M-F 10:00-12:30 p.m. $ #2 July 9-20 M-F 10:00-12:30 p.m. $ SHOOTING CAMP - Co-ed, Grades 5-8 Campers will learn the jump shot, foot alignment, hand position, body balance and squaring up, position of wrist, arm and elbow, release and follow through, and shooting off the pass, dribble and drive. #3 July M-F 3:00-5:00 p.m. $ BALL HANDLING SKILLS CAMP - Co-ed, Grades 5-8 This camp will teach ball handling drills, dribbling skills, fundamental vs zone, one on one presses, and scoring skills off the dribble. #4 July 9-13 M-F 3:00-5:00 p.m. $ RISING STAR CAMP - Co-ed, Grades 2-4 Junior Players will have the opportunity to learn and play basketball with the use of junior-sized balls. A great way for your child to develop. #5 July 9-20 M-F 8:30-10:00 a.m. $ HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - Shamrocks Only This camp offers players the opportunity to improve their game, develop their shooting style, and fine tune their defensive and offensive performance. #6 June 4-21 Varsity M-TH 9:00-11:30 a.m. $90.00 #7 June 4-21 Soph M-TH 9:00-11:30 a.m. $90.00 #8 June Frosh M-TH 3:00-5:00 p.m. $80.00 FUNDAMENTAL - Girls, Grades 5-8 This camp is designed to help young players build a sound fundamental base for the game. This class is highly recommended for all those interested in playing freshman football. However, it is open to all incoming Shamrock freshmen. #12 June 4 - June 28 M-TH 5:30-7:00 p.m. $ FRESHMEN FOOTBALL Fee includes workout shorts and shirt. #13 July 9-27 M-F 3:30-6:30 p.m. $ SPORTS PERFORMANCE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CAMP Grades 7, 8 Learn the basics of weightlifting, power lifting, and agility training with Head Football Coach Adam Guerra who is a certified Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting. Fee includes lifting shirt. #14 June M-TH 8:00-9:30 a.m. $ #15 July 9-19 M-TH 8:00-9:30 a.m. $ DAY FUNDAMENTALS OF FOOTBALL & TESTING COMBINED CAMP Grades 3-8 Learn the fundamentals of football with our one day summer camp coached by the Shamrock coaches, players and former players in college. Players will learn the basics of ball security, non-contact tackling, blocking, kicking, receiving, and defending. All campers will also go through a combine-style workout, including getting timed in 40- yard dash, shuttle run, and agility drills. Each day there will be fundamental drills along with position-specific drills. All campers will get a Nike sponsored t-shirt and a BBQ at the end of the day. #16 June 10 Sunday 8:00-1:00 p.m. $50.00 #17 July 15 Sunday 8:00-1:00 p.m. $50.00 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION Register by June 1 & save $20 off each camp!
5 SHAMROCK SPORTS CAMP Co-ed, Ages 7-13 The Shamrock Sports Camp is an athletic camp designed to provide a wide variety of experiences and fundamentals in athletic activities. There will be an emphasis on daily instructional swimming, but participation in a wide variety of activities will also be offered during the camp. Campers will be provided towels daily. Activities will be conducted by our athletic staff. TO APPLY : A $100 non-refundable deposit must accompany application. Full payment is due by the end of the first week of camp. #18 June 18-July 27 6 Wks M-F 1:00-4:00 p.m. $ #19 June 18-July 6 3 Wks M-F 1:00-4:00 p.m. $ #20 July Wks M-F 1:00-4:00 p.m. $ ALL DAY SPORTS CAMP Same as above along with art activities, bowling & mini-golf. #21 June 18-July 6 3 Wks M-F 10:00-4:00 p.m. $ #22 July Wks M-F 10:00-4:00 p.m. $ Concession stand open for lunch or bring your own. Beverages will be provided. G O L F Co-ed, Grades 4-9 Come out and receive instruction from our golf coaches Ray Jilek and Pete Dougherty. Camp will include transportation to the Des Plaines Golf Center and a camp t-shirt. The camp will focus on all areas of the game including warm-up, set-up, grip, swing, long and short game, and the rules and etiquette of the game. Campers must have their own clubs. #23 June M-TH 10:00-2:00 p.m. $ CROSS COUNTRY Co-ed, Grades 4-12 This one week camp will cover the physical and mental attributes of mid to long distance running. Each day campers will be bussed to various trails and paths in the Chicagoland area. Runners will also learn how to run intervals, fartlek, and hill training while using proper form and technique. #24 July 9-13 M-F 7:45-9:45 a.m. $95.00
6 TRACK AND FIELD Co-ed, Grades 4-12 Eighteen different events make up a high school track meet, and all will be covered in this one week camp. All campers will learn four different events each day. Coaches and student assistants will teach the benefits of being a well-rounded athlete and instruct campers on how to perform jumps, hurdles, sprints, and throws in the correct manner. #25 July 9-13 M-F 10:00-12:00 p.m. $95.00 Sign up for camps #24 & #25 - Special price of $ WRESTLING ADVANCED WRESTLING - Grades 8-12 This camp is offered to all current Shamrocks and incoming freshmen. The camp provides athletes the opportunity to sharpen fundamental skills as well as master new techniques. Throughout the summer, we partake in a Tuesday night wrestling league where our athletes compete against other wrestlers from local high schools. Transportation to and from the location will be provided. #26 June 4-7 & M-TH 12:00-2:00 p.m. $85.00 BEGINNER THRU INTERMEDIATE - Grades 1-8 This is the 34 th year for the Saint Patrick Wrestling Camp. Wrestlers will be grouped according to skill, age, and weight class. Coach Dominic Angelo will conduct the camps. The younger wrestler will learn the basics. For the more advanced wrestler, emphasis will be on mastering new techniques and live wrestling. Wrestling gear is not mandatory. Shorts, t-shirt, and gym shoes can be worn. #27 June & T-TH 12:00-2:00 p.m. $80.00 VOLLEYBALL VOLLEY CAMP - Boys Grades 5-8 Head Coach Joel Anderson will conduct all camps.the emphasis on the program is fun! The program will also cover court-related movement, non-court related movement, hand-eye development with the ball, body movement and ball work, foot work, and agility. #28 July & T- W-TH 6:00-8:00 p.m. $85.00 HIGH SCHOOL - Boys, Grades 9-12 #29 July & T- W-TH 6:00-8:00 p.m. $85.00
7 BASEBALL SKILLS CAMP - Boys, Grades 6-8 If you are an experienced player on a travel team, you may find this camp is a good way to work on improving your overall game. We will work on fielding technique, plus the mechanics of pitching and catching. This camp is useful for experienced players who want more comprehensive instruction. #30 June M-TH 9:00-10:30 a.m. $55.00 HITTING CAMP - Boys, Grades 6-8 This camp will teach the necessary techniques and skills of hitting a baseball. Campers will be taught the proper stance, stride, weight transfer, and swing. They will also learn how to hit both the inside and outside pitch. If you have your own bat and glove, please bring them to camp. #31 June M-TH 10:30-12:00 p.m. $55.00 FUNDAMENTALS CAMP - Boys, Grades 3-5 The purpose of this camp is to help younger players develop and refine the fundamentals of baseball. Daily instruction will consist of drills for fielding, hitting, pitching, catching, and base running, followed by a culminating activity. #32 June M-TH 1:00-2:30 p.m. $70.00 HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL FRESHMAN BASEBALL This camp is for the incoming freshman class of This camp will teach the skills necessary to be a successful high school baseball player. WATER POLO CLUB High School and Grammar School - Co-ed Ages This camp is designed to reinforce the fundamentals and teach beginning and advanced water polo skills through both individual and group instruction. This is an excellent opportunity to become a better and more complete player as your skills and knowledge of the game are refined and expanded. 9 SOCCER Shamrock Head Varsity Soccer Coach and 2017 s ESCC Coach of the Year Kyle McClure and his assistants will conduct all camps. Current varsity members of 2017 s Super-Sectional Championship squad will assist in all youth camp sessions. All participants receive an official dry-fit Shamrock Soccer warm-up shirt. VARSITY/JUNIOR VARSITY (ALL SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS & SENIORS) This camp is open to all sophomore, junior, and senior soccer players who are interested in developing a solid foundation of technical training and development. Small-sided games and scrimmages will be utilized to reinforce fundamental instruction. This camp will also help prepare and condition players for the upcoming season. It is HIGHLY recommended that all sophomores, juniors, and seniors considering playing soccer in the fall participate in this camp! There will be no camp on Thursday 7/26 to provide players a rest day. #41 July 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29 M-T-W-F-SA-SU 8:30am-2:30pm $ *Lunch break from 11:00am-12:00pm. INCOMING FRESHMEN This camp is open to all incoming freshmen soccer players who are interested in developing a solid foundation of technical training and development. Small-sided games and scrimmages will be utilized to reinforce fundamental instruction. This camp will also help prepare and condition players for the upcoming season. It is HIGHLY recommended that all incoming freshmen considering playing soccer in the fall participate in this camp! No previous soccer experience required. 11 COMPUTER ART BEGINNING DIGITAL ART - Co-ed Grades 6-8 This four day camp teaches the fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Illustrator and Photoshop are the design industry standards for creating 2 dimensional computer art. This beginning class will teach students how to use computers to create art. The use of Wacom tablets will also be covered.
