Set up college visits & attend college fairs Start making a list of colleges you plan to apply to next year Develop your resumé Explore Naviance- Username is Student ID# and Password is 8-Digit Birthday without dashes Complete your biography for letters of recommendation in Naviance Take the SAT and ACT Send SAT/ACT test scores to colleges- Most colleges require scores from the testing agencies and will not accept off our transcript Send official score reports to colleges/universities interested in from and/or Begin researching college Undergraduate Admissions websites Application deadlines (Early Action, Regular Decision, Early Decision) Admission requirements Honors Colleges Scholarships available If applying to selective schools, look closely at requirements. 14 ACT and SAT Links for both tests are on the Guidance webpage on the high school website For each test, sign up for the Plus Writing portion Students must have completed at least one test by the time we start applying to schools in August. Ideally, we would like for students to take each test at least once, and then follow up with either one more SAT or ACT to get a higher score. The ACT and SAT websites provide the best prep resources.

15 Why take the SAT and ACT? All colleges accept the SAT/ACT as an objective measurement of students' college readiness. Most colleges require one or the other. Used with GPAs and high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores allow colleges to fairly compare applicants. College applications will become available on August 1, 2018 Taking the SAT/ACT gives students access to scholarship opportunities. Used for Dual Credit Placement Recommend take more than 1 time- many colleges will super-score results

No course change requests will be honored after May 1st. There will NOT be changes to schedules in the Fall or Spring semester of the senior year.
