2 INTRODUCTION As an AP Crdinatr yu will use the AP Digital Prtfli t perfrm the fllwing tasks. Ensure students submit all perfrmance tasks as final by clicking the Submit final buttn prir t April 30. Recncile end-f-curse exam rders. Ensure students have crrectly indicated their intentin t take the exam (students indicate their intentins between January 1 and April 30). If there is a discrepancy between the student's indicatr and yur assessment, ensure that the student selects the crrect indicatr in the digital prtfli. Yu will need an accurate cunt befre rdering exams. Ensure students enter their AP number by April 30. If supprting independent study r hmeschled students, please set up classes in the AP Digital Prtfli and enrll students INITIAL LOGIN FOR AP COORDINATORS If yu have nt accessed the AP Digital Prtfli as an AP crdinatr in a previus year, yu must enter an Access Cde. Access Cdes were distributed t AP Crdinatrs by the Cllege Bard via an cmmunicatin in January. G t and lg in using yur Cllege Bard Prfessinal Accunt username and passwrd. Yu will be redirected t the Create Yur Prfessinal Accunt -> Get Access page fr AP Digital Prtfli. Make sure yu enter the Access Cde yu received frm the Cllege Bard. If yu have nt received an Access Cde, APCSP@cllegebard.rg. Page 1 f 16

3 Once yu have successfully entered yur Access Cde, click n the Finished buttn. Yu will be redirected t the AP Digital Prtfli. January 2018 After yu have successfully entered yur Access Cde, yu can access the AP Digital Prtfli directly by ging t Yu can lg in using yur Cllege Bard Prfessinal Accunt username and passwrd. 4 MONITORING STUDENT PROGRESS As the crdinatr in a schl that is ffering AP Cmputer Science Principles, yu need t take the fllwing steps t ensure that students are set up t submit perfrmance tasks and take the end-fcurse exam. Imprtant: Students must cmplete the fllwing tasks in the AP Digital Prtfli by April 30 t get their wrk scred by the Cllege Bard: Indicate intent t take the end-f-curse exam Enter their AP number Submit their perfrmance tasks as final by clicking the Submit final buttn Yu shuld review their status regularly, and yu must have an accurate cunt befre rdering exams. Yu can use the AP Digital Prtfli t mnitr student prgress n submitting their digital artifacts fr scring. T d s, click n AP Cmputer Science Principles frm the hme page. All f the class sectins fr yur schl will be available. Click the + t expand the class and see all f the students enrlled. Page 3 f 16

5 The Name / Status clumn will reflect the student s intent t take the end-f-curse exam and AP number entry status. At the end f each student rw, it will indicate if the student has cmpleted all tasks ( Cmplete ) r needs t perfrm additinal actins ( Incmplete ) 1. Students that are in red with N Selectin have nt indicated their intent t take the exam and have nt entered their AP numbers. Wrk submitted as final by these students will NOT be sent t Cllege Bard fr scring unless exam intent and AP numbers are entered. 2. Students that are in yellw with Needs AP # have indicated they intend t take the exam but have nt entered their AP numbers. Wrk submitted as final by these students will NOT be sent t Cllege Bard fr scring unless AP numbers are entered. 3. Students that are in gray with Nt Taking Exam have indicated that they d nt intend t take the exam. Wrk submitted as final by these students will NOT be sent t Cllege Bard fr scring unless students change their exam intent and enter their AP numbers. 4. Students that are in white and have an AP number belw their names have indicated that they intend t take the exam and have entered their AP numbers. All wrk submitted as final by these students will be sent t Cllege Bard fr scring. Page 4 f 16

6 SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT STUDY OR HOMESCHOOLED STUDENTS If yu are supprting students wh will take the AP Cmputer Science Principles end-f-curse exam as an independent r hmeschled student yu will need t take additinal steps t supprt these students, including setting up a class sectin s that they can cmplete their perfrmance tasks and submit final digital artifacts fr the thrugh-curse assessment. Create a Class T create a class sectin, click n Class Setup frm the Dashbard. Frm the Manage Classes and Rsters page, enter in the name f the class that yu wuld like t add. Page 5 f 16

7 Select the prgramming language(s) that yu r the student(s) will be using in yur class and click the + sign. Yu can add multiple languages. Click Add Class. Cnfirm that the class added shws up in the My Classes view. Add additinal classes as needed. Page 6 f 16

8 If yu have students in yur curse that primarily attend a different schl (e.g., ther lcal schl, nline schl, hme schl), yu can prvide them with a Jin Cde. The Jin Cde will allw students t enrll int yur classrm directly, regardless f what schl they attend. The Jin Cde will be visible in the My Classes sectin belw the class. Yu can return t the AP Digital Prtfli hme page by clicking n Hme in the tp navigatin menu. Page 7 f 16

9 Add r Mdify Classes January 2018 If yu need t add r mdify classes after yu have initially set up ne r mre classes, click n the Class Setup link lcated in the tp menu bar. Yu will be sent back t the Manage Classes and Rster page where yu can edit, add, r delete classes. Cnfirm Student Enrllments Once yu have created a class and students have requested enrllment, yu will need t cnfirm their enrllment. Click n the Class Setup link in the tp menu bar. Scrll dwn t the class yu created and click n the + buttn. A rster f students will be visible. Then click n the Cnfirm buttn t cnfirm student enrllment. Once yu cnfirm, that student will be able t access the digital prtfli. If yu drp a student, they will be able t request enrllment in a different sectin. Page 8 f 16

10 Instruct Students t Enrll in Yur Classes Direct students t digitalprtfli.cllegebard.rg and have them lg in using their Cllege Bard student accunt and passwrd. January 2018 Students may have an existing accunt if they tk an AP Capstne r AP with WE Service curse in a prir year, viewed AP scres, r registered fr SAT nline. Students can create a new accunt r request a passwrd reset if needed. Students wh are new t the AP Digital Prtfli may be prmpted t prvide additinal infrmatin. Students will be prmpted t add a class by clicking the Add Classes buttn. Page 9 f 16

11 Students will be redirected t the Manage My Classes page and see a cmplete list f AP Cmputer Science Principles classes being ffered at their schl. They shuld request enrllment in the apprpriate AP Cmputer Science Principles class. Upn clicking Enrll the student will see that enrllment has been requested. Students will nt be able t access the AP Digital Prtfli cntent until yu have cnfirmed their enrllment. Students Enrlling frm a Different Schl If yu have students in yur curse that primarily attend a different schl (e.g., ther lcal schl, nline schl, hme schl), they enrll with a Jin Cde. Students will nt be able t access the AP Digital Prtfli cntent until yu have cnfirmed their enrllment. Instruct Students t Use AP CSP Written Respnse Templates It is highly recmmended that students use the Written Respnse Template fr bth perfrmance tasks as it will facilitate accurate scring f their wrk. Create Applicatins frm Ideas Perfrmance Tasks: This template was develped t help ensure students prvide a respnse t all the requirements in the Create Perfrmance Task in an rganized and prperly labeled manner. The template fr this task shuld be used fr sectins 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d. Explre Impact f Cmputing Innvatins Perfrmance Task: This template was develped t help ensure students prvide a respnse t all the requirements in the Explre Perfrmance Task in an rganized and prperly labeled manner. The template fr this task shuld be used fr sectins 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, and 2e. Page 12 f 16

Then, they shuld scrll dwn t the Dwnlad Template fr Written Respnses sectin Instruct Students n Perfrmance Tasks Cllabratin Plicies Students are nt allwed t cllabrate at all n any prtin f the Explre perfrmance task, r n the written respnse r vide fr the Create perfrmance task. On the AP Digital Prtfli, students will be prmpted t attest t the fllwing befre they submit their perfrmance tasks as final: That they ve have read the Assessment Overview and Perfrmance Task Directins fr Students dcument. As an AP Crdinatr, yu will need t share this dcument with the students. That they did nt cllabrate n the written respnse r vide fr Create perfrmance task That they did nt cllabrate n any prtin f the Explre perfrmance task Instruct Students t Indicate their Intent t Take the AP End-f-Curse Exam Starting in January, students will be prmpted in the AP Digital Prtfli t indicate whether r nt they intend t take the end-f-curse exam. Students must prvide a respnse by April 30. Students can indicate their intent-t-take the end-f-curse exam by navigating t the Overview page. Page 13 f 16

15 Once they indicate their intent, they are able t edit their decisin by clicking n the pencil icn. January 2018 This prcess des nt take the place f AP Exam rdering. An rder fr the end-f-curse exam must still be placed as part f the AP Exam rdering prcess. Please ensure that there is alignment between student indicatr t take end-f-curse exam and exams rdered. Instruct Students t Enter Their AP Numbers int the Digital Prtfli Students wh are taking the end-f-curse exam will receive AP Student Packs in early April. Each Student Pack cntains a unique AP number that students shuld use fr all AP exams that they take in a given schl year. Starting n April 1, students can enter in their AP number by lgging in t the AP Digital Prtfli and navigating t the Overview page. Students must enter an AP number int the Digital Prtfli in rder fr their wrk t be sent t the Cllege Bard fr scring. All perfrmance tasks that a student has submitted as final will autmatically be sent t the Cllege Bard n April 30, as lng as an AP number is assciated with the Digital Prtfli accunt. Students shuld take extra care when entering in their AP number. AP numbers that are incrrectly entered may result in delayed scre reprting. Page 14 f 16

16 Students shuld never use an AP number frm a prir year, and students shuld never share their AP number with anther student. Once an AP number has been entered, it can be changed t a different number if the existing number is fund t be incrrect. The existing AP number cannt be remved withut being replaced by a different, valid, AP number. Instruct Students t Give Their Permissin t Reuse Written Perfrmance Materials Students als have the pprtunity t indicate whether they give the Cllege Bard permissin t reuse their wrk fr educatinal research and instructinal purpses. This des nt impact the students scre. This permissin nly cvers items submitted via the AP Digital Prtfli. Students can indicate their permissin by lgging in t the AP Digital Prtfli and navigating t the Overview page. Page 15 f 16
