Graduation Requirements vs. College Requirements College admission requires/recommends Algebra 2. Four years of math is strongly recommended. If going out of state, two or three years of foreign language, world history and/or performing or studio arts are recommended. Check freshman admission requirements for each college as they differ! Take ACT or repeat SAT if desired. ACT &/or SAT Math scores determine college Math placement.

Graduation Requirements vs. NCAA Requirements If you think you might play sports in college, you need to plan your classes accordingly! NCAA requires specific courses and more credits than what is needed to graduate. Print current Guide for College-Bound Student Athlete during sophomore year and plan accordingly. Complete the NCAA clearinghouse form the beginning of your junior year and send your transcript at the end of your junior year. More information at ncaa.org

Choose Classes Wisely! The master schedule, sections, class loads, staffing, etc. are all determined by our February pre-registration data. Schedule changes in August are difficult! Classes are full; no elective classes are available Priority is enrolling new students No teacher changes or switching class periods Exceptions: re-taking a failed class, missing a required course for graduation, took summer school, misplacement in math, see counselor is on your schedule Take time to learn about the classes you are selecting!

Course List Choose your courses from this list and NOT the handbook or Infinite Campus as not all courses listed are offered at Capital High. Each course listing describes grade level(s) it is open to, prerequisites required, and length of course. Updated class handbook is available online at

Instructions for Online Class Selection Open Mozilla Firefox! Other browsers do not work well. Go to Capital High s website. Select Our School and click on Infinite Campus and sign in. Username is your school address Password is your first and last name initials (capitalized) and four digit birthdate, e.g., BG Click on Registration: Capital High School on the left hand side. Click on Course Search at the top of the screen to search for courses. You can search by typing a portion of the course name or the EXACT course number. All courses offered in Boise District will show in Infinite Campus even though some courses are NOT offered at Capital. Make sure the course you are selecting is also on the Capital High course list. When you find the course, click on the course title. This will bring up a course description at the bottom of the screen. If you would like to select this course, click Request this Course. If you would like to select this course as an alternate, click Request this Course as an Alternate. If the course is a year long course you MUST REQUEST BOTH SEMESTERS (A&B) OF THE COURSE.
