Internal Revenue Code Requirements To comply with various Internal Revenue requirements adoption of the following declaration is required: The Blue Springs R-IV School District shall provide for "welfare and benefit plans" for purchase by authorized officials of the district for its employees, and by its employees, annuities complying with the provisions of Public Law ,

All plans shall be "nondiscriminatory." These plans shall be adopted annually by the Blue Springs R-IV Board of Education. F. City Request We have received a request from the Blue Springs Parks and Recreation Department for permission to use Peve Stadium for the annual July 4, 2014 holiday festivities to include a band concert and pyrotechnic display. They are also requesting an alternate date of July 5, 2014 for use of the stadium should inclement weather prohibit the celebration on July ADOPTION OF REGULAR AGENDA (Action) 6. Program Highlight Jim Finley The Program Highlight will be James Lewis Elementary staff and students who will provide information regarding a Year of Poetry at JLE. Staff members Jennifer Gooch and Jade Machin will make a presentation with students Corban Vasquez, Ragin Corwin, Kayla Marker, Kylie Noland, Emma Ireland and Cameron Stewart. 8. April Executive Session Paul Kinder Action was taken at the March 10, 2014 board meeting, pursuant to (1) (2) & (3) RSMo and RSMo, to conduct a closed session, immediately following the public session April 14, 2014 in the Executive Board Room of the Gale T. Bartow Administrative Service Center, for the purpose of considering: legal actions involving the district leasing, purchase or sale of real estate hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting employees
