Internal Revenue Code Requirements To comply with various Internal Revenue requirements adoption of the following declaration is required: The Blue Springs R-IV School District shall provide for "welfare and benefit plans" for purchase by authorized officials of the district for its employees, and by its employees, annuities complying with the provisions of Public Law ,

4 Agenda (continued) -4- April 14, CONSENT AGENDA (continued) Section 403(b) of the United States Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended; deferred compensation plans Section 457 and 457(f) of Internal Revenue Code and US Treasury Regsl.83-3(c)(2); and Section 125 "cafeteria plan" of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. All plans shall be "nondiscriminatory." These plans shall be adopted annually by the Blue Springs R-IV Board of Education. F. Employee Salary Schedule for It is recommended that the employee salary schedules for be approved as previously discussed. (No. 17) G. Meal Prices It is recommended the lunch prices for the school year remain the same: H. City Request We have received a request from the Blue Springs Parks and Recreation Department for permission to use Peve Stadium for the annual July 4, 2014 holiday festivities to include a band concert and pyrotechnic display. They are also requesting an alternate date of July 5, 2014 for use of the stadium should inclement weather prohibit the celebration on July ADOPTION OF REGULAR AGENDA (Action) 6. GUESTS (Information) A. Employee of the Month Cara Anger The April "Employee of the Month" is Jim Burgess, Communication Arts Teacher at Delta Woods Middle School. Jim will be present at the meeting. Program Highlight Jim Finley The Program Highlight will be James Lewis Elementary staff and students who will provide information regarding a Year of Poetry at JLE. Staff members Jennifer Gooch and Jade Machin will make a presentation with students Corban Vasquez, Ragin Corwin, Kayla Marker, Kylie Noland, Emma Ireland and Cameron Stewart. 8.
