3 Weymouth Child Development Center Year round, educationally based child care for children 6 weeks old to 12 years old. Low adult to child ratios, highly qualified staff, nationally recognized curriculum. Multiple developmentally appropriate classrooms Hours of Operation: 5:30 am 6:30 pm, M-F Services & amenities include: full meal service (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack), infant diaper service, gymnasium, swimming, field trips, three developmentally appropriate outdoor play areas all at no additional charge Competitive rates, DHS accepted

4 Weymouth Child Development Center Great Start to Quality Star Rating Weymouth has completed their second self assessment survey and has earned a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. This rating is the highest a program can get at this step in the system. The rating takes into account teacher qualifications, program policies, teacher child interactions, and classroom management. Just like a program s license, this rating must be renewed every 2 years. Highest rated provider in Charlotte.

5 Weymouth Child Development Center Early Head Start Weymouth has partnered with Head Start to provide free, high quality child care to families in need. We currently have 7 slots filled. The program promotes positive relationships with parents, development and school readiness, and family well being. The teachers work with parents on nutrition, dental, medical, development and ongoing assessments for the children.

14 Charlotte Upper Elementary Project Lead the Way & Robotics Team PLTW for all students in grades 4-6. All students rotate through the PLTW curriculum during their time at the CUE. Established competitive robotics team in school year. Two teams qualified for the state championship Selected as the site for the Robotics State Championship Tournament

16 Charlotte Middle School Grades 7-8 Approximately 390 students 7 th grade students scored higher than county and state averages in Math and Science on the Spring 2015 M-STEP assessment* 8 th grade students scored higher than both county and state averages in Math on the Spring 2015 M-STEP assessment* 7 th and 8 th grade students scored higher than county average in ELA on the Spring 2015 M-STEP assessment* 7 th grade students scored above their peer group average in Math and Science * Not all subjects are tested in every grade level

19 Charlotte High School Grades 9-12 Approximately 800 students Charlotte s graduation rate in 2015 is above the Peer and State average April 2016 SAT results show; The ELA and Math composite score was 17 points higher than the State and 33 points higher than National averages The Evidence Based Reading and Writing score was 10 points higher than the State and 19 points higher than National averages College and Career Ready scores in ELA were 2% higher than the State and 6% higher than National averages The Reading and Writing scores were 10 points above the State and 19 points higher than National averages In all 7 subscores, CHS was at or above the State and National averages

24 Oriole Athletics Honors and Awards student athletes are going on to play college athletics. Flight Club was top 5 in the state for MHSAA battle of the fans. Flight Club was honored with Lansing State Journal Top Student Section. Alex Reinbold was LSJ Male Player of the Year for tennis.

30 Charlotte Aquatic Center We also offer a growing number of land based recreational opportunities. About 200 area youth participate annually in our Summerball baseball program Saturday morning basketball for area youth during the Winter months Red Cross Lifeguard, first aid and CPR courses Adult volleyball leagues beginning June of 2016 We are continuously seeking new programs to offer to the community including continuing collaboration discussions with Al!ve and programs such as basketball open gyms for adults and youth.
