Surya Kumari, Physical Directress: Nominated as Member of JNTU Sports council executive committee by the Vice chancellor of JNTU, Hyderabad, and attended the meeting on 17 th September Delivered guest lectures on Sports Nutrition at JNTU Kakinada for the students of MS.sports Sciences on 9 th and 10 th Dec Dr. M.V. L. Surya Kumari, Physical Directress Chaired Two sessions in the 25 th Pan Asian Conference on Physical Education and Sports Sciences held at Osmania University from 8 th -10 th August Dr. M.V. L. 9 Nutritional Status check (BMI and Body Fat assessment) The Nutritional status data collection for the I year students was started from November 2013 to identify their current nutritional status that is whether they come under undernourished/ normally nourished / over weight/ obese category. 9

Altogether,63 titles were won out of which 33 winners titles 21runners titles & 9 third places in 10 events namely Volleyball, Throw Ball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Tennis, Chess Kho Kho, Hand ball and Athletics. 12

14 JNTU Inter college tournaments In the JNTU Zone- A Inter collegiate tournament held at MLR Institute of Technology on 7 th and 8 th Feb. 2014, GNITS got WINNERS titles in Throw ball, Volleyball, Basketball, Table tennis Singles and Table tennis Doubles events and RUNNERS titles in Badminton Singles and Doubles events. GNITS GOT GIRLS OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE TIME AND ALSO BOYS AND GIRLS OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH 31 POINTS. 14
