5 2017 Full Time Graduates 75 Graduates: 52% Scheduled to attend 2 year colleges. 29% Scheduled to attend 4 year colleges. 16% Scheduled to work directly after HS. 3% Scheduled to join the military. Students allowed to study for and take Accuplacer Exam here at school.

6 A student of the full time program must have an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) that is consistent with the goals and mission of the BCTHS Paramus campus. A student who benefits from instruction that identifies and embraces varied learning styles and multiple intelligences. A student who benefits from an educational model built around collaboration between subject certified and special education certified instructors, child study team members, support staff and school counselor personnel. A student who models appropriate behavior and maintains an acceptable record of attendance. We offer counseling however we are not well equipped to work with students with significant psychiatric or behavioral difficulties. A student that desires both an Academic & Technical educational environment focused on career employment and/or postsecondary educational opportunities. A student who will be able to be academically appropriate for resource replacement classes as well as our academic and graduation requirements.

7 Course completion of core technical studies. In the event of a program change, the student must major in the same technical discipline for at least two consecutive years. Four years of English Four years of Health/Physical Education Three years of Life or Physical Sciences Three years of World or United States History Four years of Mathematics based on college/career pathway Two years of a World Language One credit year split between Financial Literacy and Foundations Of Student Achievement (FOSA) *ALL OF OUR COURSES ARE ALIGNED WITH NJCCCS

15 General Ed or I.E.P/504 students are both acceptable. A student who can benefit from technical training that relates to either work or college goals upon graduation. A student who models acceptable levels of behavior and attendance.

16 New shared-time students (9 th,10 th,11 th ) attend the morning session when entry level skills are taught. Returning 10 th grade students attend the morning session when intermediate level skills are taught. Returning 11 th and 12 th grade students attend the afternoon session when more advanced skills are taught. Updated IEP s/504 s for Shared-Time students must be submitted for the current academic/technical school year

20 Student/family initiates the application process Once the student has completed the online application, they automatically receive a reply validating their application. The final step in the student portion is to Print School Forms (Transcript Form, Teacher Recommendation Forms, and the Case Manager Form, if applicable). Each form will be auto filled with their Name, District and 5-digit Student Application ID#. Forms need to be distributed to the appropriate person, for example, guidance counselor, teacher and/or case manager.

21 Once the student/parent completes the online application they will be prompted to print out forms to bring to school. Beginning in all school documentation, including teacher recommendations, needs to be submitted in a paper format. Documentation from the school should include 2 years of attendance and report cards/transcripts, 2 years of PARCC scores, current year English and Mathematics teacher recommendations, current IEP and most recent CST evaluations, Case Manager form when appropriate, and documentation/explanation of disciplinary issues (suspensions, detention).

22 The Admissions Committee consists of CST, Special Ed and Regular Education Teachers. Acceptance is based on: grades, attendance, behavior, teacher recommendations, standardized test scores and a student s disciplinary record. Incomplete documentation from the school will impact on our admissions decisions as will outdated evaluations. There are a limited number of technical seats in each area, therefore, a student s technical choice may influence their acceptance into our program. Accepted students take a placement test but no preadmission testing is required. We have no admissions quotas per town.
