Are they able to read difficult, academic subject material? Do they enjoy their coursework? Are they organized? Can they get work done for themselves? Can they plan ahead or is everything done at the last minute? Are you ready to work with them throughout the year? Will you be able to support them through these courses?

Key word: Balance Course Expectations and Workload (Including Total Schedule Impact) Extracurricular (School) Activities Sports, Clubs/Organizations Family/Social Considerations Work? Friends? Downtime? Church and Community Obligations Volunteerism and other involvements?

24 Next Steps All students intending to pursue the Diploma Programme must complete the IB Statement of Intent and submit to Mr. Fortunato Dates and deadlines contingent upon authorization More information will be announced in the spring if/when the school is authorized Students must have met (or have a plan to meet) the Economics and/or PE credits as per Georgia Graduation Requirements If students have not taken Econ, PE, and/or Health prior to beginning their DP coursework, they will need to take them online or over a summer
