10 Course Credits 26 Credits are required for Graduation. Credits are earned by successfully passing courses with a 70 or above. Algebra I and Spanish credits transfer from Middle School if taken for high school credit

23 The Big Question How can I help my student make an informed decision about course sequencing over four years?

24 Scheduling Timeline February 1 st & 2 nd - High School Counselors at BMSN. Spring 2017: Students and parents will receive a confirmation of their course selections by mail. April 28 th : Any changes to course selections must be made in writing and returned to the BHS Counselors Office. August: Students will receive a copy of their final schedule on the first day of school.

25 AP courses are faster paced with more rigorous requirements. Pre-AP courses prepare students for future AP courses. An AP course is college level material.

26 Reminders Students will choose 8 courses keeping in mind the 4 core areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies and other requirements (PE credit or equivalent, Fine Art, Foreign Language, Health, CTE and/or Tech App, Endorsement requirements) Alternates are required. These courses are used when schedules do not load due to conflicts in periods. Changes can be made based on scheduling requirements, teacher availability and class sizes.
