Yu may have an existing accunt if yu tk AP Seminar in a prir year, viewed AP scres, r registered fr SAT nline. If yu are an AP Research student yu shuld use the same accunt that yu used while taking AP Seminar. Yu can request a passwrd reset r yu can create a new accunt if yu dn t already have ne. Once yu have signed in t yur Cllege Bard accunt, yu may be prmpted t prvide additinal infrmatin. Make sure t enter the crrect high schl in rder t request enrllment in AP Seminar and AP Research. Keep in mind that the schl yu attend must ffer AP Capstne in rder fr yu t access the AP Digital Prtfli. Enrll in an AP Seminar r AP Research Class at Yur Schl Visit digitalprtfli.cllegebard.rg and lg in using yur Cllege Bard student accunt and passwrd. If yu are nt enrlled in an AP Capstne class fr the current academic year, yu will be prmpted t add a class by clicking the Add Classes buttn. Page 2 f 11

3 Yu will be redirected t the Manage My Classes page and see a cmplete list f AP Capstne classes being ffered at yur schl. Yu shuld request enrllment in the apprpriate AP Seminar r AP Research class. Upn clicking Enrll it will indicate that enrllment has been requested. Yu will nt be able t access the digital prtfli cntent fr yur class until yur teacher has cnfirmed yur enrllment. Page 3 f 11

4 Access the AP Digital Prtfli Once yur teacher has cnfirmed yur enrllment request yu shuld be able t access the digital prtfli by lgging int digitalprtfli.cllegebard.rg. Navigate Thrugh the AP Digital Prtfli The left menu allws yu t select frm an verall curse Overview r drill dwn in t each f the perfrmance tasks fr the curse yu are in. Page 4 f 11

5 Uplad and Dwnlad Draft Written Wrk Click n the perfrmance task cmpnent fr which yu d like t uplad a dcument. Select Uplad New and indicate the file yu wish t uplad. When the uplad is cmplete, yu will see a cmment in the activity feed, and the Dwnlad Latest ptins will becme available. Nte: N uplads r submissins are required r enabled fr presentatin r defense perfrmance task cmpnents (AP Seminar Team Multimedia Presentatin, Individual Multimedia Presentatin, Oral Defense; AP Research Presentatin and Oral Defense). Once yu ve upladed a dcument, it will be available fr yu and yur teacher t dwnlad. Yu can dwnlad the mst recently upladed dcument by clicking the Dwnlad Latest buttn, r by clicking the link in the Activity Feed. Prir versins f a submissin can be retrieved frm the Activity Feed. 6 Access EBSCO Research Databases EBSCO s research databases can be accessed by clicking n the Overview menu item under the Class Summary View Originality Reprts using Turnitin Navigate t the Perfrmance Task Cmpnent fr which yu d like t generate an riginality reprt, and click n the Run Originality buttn. T view the reprt n the Turnitin website, click the View Originality buttn. Additinal infrmatin n hw t view riginality reprts within the Turnitin website can be fund at the fllwing URL: Page 6 f 11

7 The Turnitin site will pen in a new tab. Yu will need t make sure that yur brwser settings are set t accept pp-ups fr The Turnitin site at a minimum. Submit Individual Written Wrk as Final D yur best t remve yur name frm written wrk prir t submitting final. Written wrk being submitted as final needs t be in PDF frmat. If yu need help cnverting a file t PDF, please visit the sectin f this guide titled Additinal Infrmatin Cnverting Yur Dcuments t PDF. Once yur teacher has instructed yu t d s, yu shuld submit yur written wrk as final. The fllwing individual perfrmance task cmpnents need t be submitted as final via the digital prtfli: AP Seminar Individual Research Reprt (IRR) Individual Written Argument (IWA) AP Research Academic Paper Click n the perfrmance task cmpnent fr which yu d like t submit as final. Click Submit Final t submit the mst recently upladed file as final. If yur dcument is nt in PDF frmat, yu will need t cnvert yur file t PDF and then Uplad New prir t submitting as final. Page 7 f 11

8 A windw will appear asking yu t cnfirm several things prir t cmpleting yur final submissin: Yu must view the file yu are submitting t cnfirm it is indeed the crrect file (checkbxes will remain inactive until yu view yur file) Yu will cnfirm that yu have remved yur name frm yur submissin Yu will cnfirm that yu understand that changes t yur submissin cannt be made after yu cmplete the final submissin prcess After clicking Next, yu ll be brught t anther windw where yu will attest t the riginality f yur written submissin. If yu are an AP Research student, yu will be asked t prvide sme additinal infrmatin prir t attesting t the riginality f yur wrk, including yur research discipline, research questin, research methd, and abstract. This additinal infrmatin will NOT impact yur final scre. Page 8 f 11

9 After clicking Submit yu will receive a cnfirmatin windw that yur final submissin has been received. Enter Yur AP Number int the AP Digital Prtfli Yu will receive yur AP Student Pack in early April frm yur teacher r AP Crdinatr. Each Student Pack cntains a unique AP number that yu shuld use fr all AP Exams yu take in a given schl year, including AP Seminar. AP Research des nt have an end f curse exam, hwever bth AP Seminar and AP Research students need t enter AP numbers int the digital prtfli. Yu are slely respnsible fr entering yur AP number int the digital prtfli. Yu can enter in yur AP number by lgging in t the AP Digital Prtfli and navigating t the Overview page within yur class summary. Yu must enter an AP number int the digital prtfli in rder fr yur wrk t be sent t the Cllege Bard. All perfrmance tasks that yu have submitted as final will autmatically be sent t the Cllege Bard n April 30, as lng as an AP number is assciated with yur digital prtfli accunt. Yu shuld take extra care when entering in yur AP number. AP numbers that are incrrectly entered may result in delayed scres. Yu shuld never use an AP number frm a prir year and yu shuld never share yur AP number with anther student. Page 9 f 11

10 Once yu have successfully entered yur AP number, the Overview page will display Yur AP Number Once an AP number has been entered, it can be changed t a different number if the existing number is fund t be incrrect. The existing AP number cannt be remved withut being replaced by a different, valid, AP number. Indicate Yur Permissin t Reuse Written Perfrmance Task Materials Yu can als indicate whether the Cllege Bard has yur permissin t use the perfrmance tasks yu submit via the digital prtfli fr educatinal research and instructinal purpses. Additinal Infrmatin Cnverting Yur Dcuments t PDF Befre submitting final, yu must create and uplad a.pdf (r PDF) versin f yur dcument. PDF stands fr Prtable Dcument Frmat. Recent versins f applicatins like: Wrd, PwerPint, Pages, and Ggle Dcs, have built-in features that allw yu t save r exprt yur file as a PDF. Instructins are prvided belw. If yur sftware des nt have a PDF ptin, visit the Adbe site and learn mre abut whether Acrbat frm Adbe Systems can cnvert yur dcument t PDF. Yu are respnsible fr ensuring that yur file is prperly frmatted and readable. After yu have created yur PDF, be sure t check it by pening and reviewing yur PDF in Adbe Reader, a free applicatin that can be dwnladed frm the Adbe site. The Cllege Bard is nt affiliated with Adbe Systems and is nt respnsible fr any issues assciated with yur use f the Adbe Systems cnverter. If yu need technical supprt r have questins, please cntact Adbe Systems directly. Micrsft Office (Wrd, PwerPint) In Wrd, PwerPint, and ther Micrsft Office prgrams yu will Save as PDF. Visit the Micrsft Office supprt page fr mre infrmatin abut Save as PDF. T save a Wrd r PwerPint dcument as PDF: Open yur Wrd r PwerPint dcument. Frm the tp menu select File, and select Save As. In the dialg windw, g t the drp-dwn menu fr Save as type, and select PDF. Click Save. Page 10 f 11

11 Ggle Dcs Pages In Ggle Dcs, yu will Dwnlad as PDF. Visit the Ggle supprt page fr mre infrmatin n Dwnlad a file. T dwnlad a Ggle Dc as a PDF: Open yur Ggle dc Frm the tp menu select File, and select Dwnlad as, and select PDF Dcument (.pdf) In Pages, yu will Exprt t PDF. Visit the Apple supprt page fr mre infrmatin r fllw the steps belw: Open yur Pages dcument. Frm the tp menu select File, and select Exprt t, and select PDF. In the dialgue windw select Best, image quality. Chse a destinatin fr the exprt and click Exprt. Page 11 f 11
