Development/Distribution of Public Awareness material sheets of leaflet/handout in simple Kannada/English language have been distributed to the students and general public on various occasions during this month NPCIL, KGS Public awareness sticker have been received in this month being distributed. 2. Electronic Media/Films: The Film on Budhia/Raju, in Kannada/Hindi/English was screened 15 times to various target groups in December Other Initiatives for augmenting PA/PR activities in the vicinity of the Site: Karuna Trust an NGO is entrusted in managing the NPCIL Health Centre at Mallapur village. During this month 1477 patients were treated in the health centre. Printed 2014-calendar containing the pictures of flora & fauna in and around of Kaiga Site & Kaiga Township along with slogans about Nuclear Safety and Environment.The calendar will be distributed for wide publicity of Nuclear Power Awareness. 4.0 Awareness programmes in schools and colleges in plant vicinity/contact with influential groups/lecture series in schools and colleges/facilitation of plant visits/briefing to villagers visitors including students & other officials visited our Plant Site and they were taken to the Model Room, Simulator and main control room after briefing on the Radiation, Nuclear safety & environment related aspects. A lecture on energy scenario of the country and role of Nuclear Power was conducted for Forest Committee & High School students, at Vanalli, Sirsi on 10/12/2013 followed by a quiz programme. In this programme 250 students and others have participated. 4.3 NPCIL Exhibition Stall at Kumta During five days mela Jana Janani, Public Awareness exhibition stall and awareness Programme was conducted by PAC, Kaiga Site. The said mela was organized by District Committee for preservation of Indian cow &promotion of organic farming at Mahatma Gandhi Ground (Manaki Ground), Kumta from to The mela was attended by large group of people of coastal taluks of Uttara Kannada District.
