1 PATRICK HENRY COLLEGE PREPARATORY ACADEMY 2012 AP Exam Results Report Date last updated: Thursday, December 20, 2012 The results are in for May 2012 Advanced Placement (AP)* exams and Patrick Henry College Preparatory Academy s AP students have done exceptionally well. What do we mean by exceptionally well? Answering that question is what this report is all about. In the pages below, you will find tables displaying the results of our students hard work and preparation in each subject. You will see average exam scores, pass rates, and score distributions. You will also be able to compare their performance in each subject with the performance of students worldwide. Scoring highly on the College Board s AP exams can qualify our students to receive college credit or advanced placement when they begin their undergraduate studies. Receiving college credit or advanced placement for work done in high school puts our students ahead in college, and beyond. That s an achievement to celebrate. 2 About the AP Exam Results Report The scores reported on the following pages are from students who completed a course with Patrick Henry College Preparatory Academy during the academic year and took the corresponding College Board Advanced Placement (AP) exam in May The great majority of these scores are taken from the College Board s AP Subject Roster for Online Providers (2012). The Subject Roster displays scores for each exam taken by PHC Prep Academy students who identified PHC Prep Academy as their online provider when they took the exam. A handful of the scores were reported to us by individual students after this report was first released. On an as-needed basis, PHC Prep Academy may revise this report to reflect new scores we receive from students, or new College Board data. (Please see the top of this page for the date this report was last modified.) About AP Exam Scoring Advanced placement exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, indicating whether the student is qualified in the exam s subject and recommended to receive college credit or advanced placement. 5 Extremely well qualified 4 Well qualified 3 Qualified 2 Possibly qualified 1 No recommendation The AP credit policy of each college or university that awards credit or advanced placement for AP exam scores determines the value of a particular score at that college or university.
