M D UPADHYAY, Dy. Rama Rao welcomed the Chairman and other VMC Members. Previous Minutes of the VMC Meeting held on was reviewed and confirmed. वपछल ब ठक क व द य लय प रब धन सम त क स क ष REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES OF THE VMC MEETING 1. Execution of the lease deed. The Principal has informed the Chairman and the members of the committee that the execution of lease deed has been forwarded from Principal Directorate, Defence Estate, Govt. Of India, Ministry of Defence, Southern Command, Pune to The Director General (Lands Sec.) Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. He further informed the matter is pending with The Director General (Lands Sec.) Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. 2. Approval for appointment for contractual teachers for the year The Principal has informed the chairman and the members that the appointment for contractual teachers for the year has been made as per KVS recruitment rules and he also informed that the panel is valid for one academic session i.e. till 31 st March 2018 and same is displayed in our Vidyalaya Website. 3. Proposal for estimates and specification for the following :- i. Rain water harvesting system. ii. Repair of leakage in the Vidyalaya building iii. Conversion of Type I quarters to Type II quarters. The Principal has informed the members that the VMC has approved for the above said works in the Vidyalaya and the same has been forwarded to GE, South, Secunderabad for the submission of estimates and specification. Estimations and specifications are not yet submitted by GE (South), Secunderabad. स च ब रबन द AGENDA POINTS 1. RESULT ANALYSIS OF CLASS X AND XII The Principal has informed the Chairman and Members of the Committee about the results of classes X and XII during the year

3 He further shared his happiness by informing the committee that out of 241 students appeared for class X and all of them passed with a PI of and 63 students achieved CGPA 10. In class XII, 157 students appeared and all passed with a PI of He also discussed about the low achievement in Mathematics and Economics in the boards. He informed the committee that measures are being taken to improve the results especially in Mathematics and Economics in Class XII. 2. Measures to improve Internal and Board results in the forthcoming examinations. The Principal has informed to the Chairman and members of the committee that following measures are being taken to improve the results in the ensuing internal and board results. The weak areas of students at the beginning of the academic year have been identified so that proper guidance/advice can be given to them. i. Slip tests and Monthly tests are being conducted regularly to monitor their performance. ii. Question Banks, topic wise and chapter wise are being supplied to the students to regular practice. iii. The Teachers are adopting special strategies like teaching through group discussion and focusing on important Board Questions. iv. Special classes from AM and PM on all working days are being conducted. v. Parent-Teacher Meetings are being conducted after every monthly test to discuss about their wards performance. vi. Board Question papers of the pervious years are being discussed regularly in the classes. vii. Slow learners are being given extra attention. 3. Admission to the wards of Category I Employees. The Principal has informed the members of the committee that admissions for wards of Category I in civil and Defence sectors and Category I & II in Project & Institutions of higher learning who have been transferred during the current session after the registration process is over is extended upto 30 th November He further informed that the admissions will be granted on first-cum-first serve basis immediately as and when parents approaches for admission in the Vidyalaya. 4. Approval of VVN Budget for the year The Principal has explained to the members of the committee a detailed estimation of VVN budget for the year The same was debated and discussed and was approved by Vidyalaya Management Committee. 3

Approval for giving tender notification of outsourcing services The Principal has informed the members of the committee that contract with the existing outsourcing agency i.e. for Housekeeping, gardening and security services is expiring on 30 th September He also informed that tender have to be called for engaging outsourcing services with effect from 1 st October He further informed that as per KVS rules, the Vidyalaya has to give tender notification in the local newspaper(s). The Vidyalaya management committee has approved the same. 6. Approval to obtain estimates for repair and seepage of the vidyalaya building The Principal has informed the members of the Committee that the roof of the vidyalaya building has to be repaired immediately. He further informed that it has become difficult to conduct classes during the monsoon as the roofs are leaking. He further informed that approval from the chairman is required for obtaining the estimations for getting repair work. The chairman has asked the Principal to put up the file for approval. 7. Safety and security certificate of the building from the construction agency The Principal has informed the members of the committee that the vidyalaya has to submit safety and security certificate of the building every year to the KVS, Head Quarter, New Delhi. He further informed that MES, Secunderabad has expressed its inability to certify the test of the building. The Chairman has suggested that safety test for the building may be carried out in liaison with authorised Government agency like CPWD/HSCL etc. 8. Development of sports infrastructure. The Principal has informed the members that the Chairman has accorded permission for obtaining estimates from GE (South), Secunderabad for the development of volleyball courts and conversion of existing 6 lane mud athletic track to 8 lane synthetic track. He further informed that conversion of existing 6 lane mud athletic track to 8 lane synthetic track is pending with GE (South), Secunderabad. The chairman has asked the Principal to put up a file for approval. 9. Execution of lease deed The Principal has informed the Chairman and the members that the proposal for the execution of lease deed of Kendriya Vidyalaya Tirumalagiri has been forwarded from 4

5 Director, Defence Estates, Southern Command, Pune to the Director General (Lands Sec.), Defence Estate, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. He further informed that the matter is pending at Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. 10. Construction of additional class rooms The Principal has informed the members that the Vidyalaya has shortage of classrooms as barracks (Building no 112, 112/A2-F3, 112/A4-F4, 112/A5-F5, 112/H2 and 112/J) have been declared unsafe by GE (South), Secunderabad, vide letter no. nil dated issued by Garrison Engineer (R&D), Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad. He further added that at present, the classes are being conducted in various departments and the Vidyalaya requires at least 15 additional class rooms for giving better facilities and fruitful results. The Chairman has advised the Principal to take up construction of temporary classrooms in a phased manner, as permanent construction on A1 prime land of Defence is not feasible without execution of lease deed. The Chairman, VMC, also given few suggestions for the betterment of the Vidyalaya and the safety of the students. i. In some of the subjects, the average performance Index of this KV is below the Regional Average Performance Index. The Performance is very low in economics. There is a definite need to improve upon and ensure that corrective measures are taken this year. ii. The chairman has expressed that teachers should be a substitute to the parents during the stay in the Vidyalaya. He also added that teachers should regularly monitor the behavioral patterns of the students and necessary steps for the betterment of the students. iii. The Chairman has expressed his views that Teachers should take keen interest in developing communicative skills among the students. iv. Children should appreciate nature, learn to identify themselves as part of the nature and strive to protect the environmental concerns. They should also understand the meaning of swacch Bharat and implement whatever is within their grasp. v. The Chairman has suggested for a facelift of the Vidyalaya building to enhance the ambiance of the Vidyalaya. vi. The Chairman has suggested that movement of traffic can be restricted between 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM for the safety of the students.
