3 Graduation Requirements 50 TOTAL CREDITS ARE REQUIRED If a student takes full credit classes, they could earn 16 credits per year. That is potentially 64 credits at graduation. New graduation requirements In addition to current credit requirements, students will have to show proficiency in both MATH and ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS.

11 At the end of your 9 th grade year, most of you will have filled up of the required graduation credit requirements. If you failed a class, you ll need to meet with me to talk about course recovery (summer school is an option) and planning your schedule for next year. *Each student will look different depending on what electives and programs like band, choir or AVID they enroll in.

MYP stands for Middle Years Programme Involves grades 6-10 of the International Baccalaureate Programme Inclusive of ALL learners MYP encourages international-mindedness and a positive attitude to learning, and emphasizes the development of the whole student physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.

14 Personal Project in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Students have the opportunity to participate in the PERSONAL PROJECT and engage in ACTION & SERVICE as part of the MYP. If you would like to opt out of this privilege, please contact Ms. Kiser

29 Looking Ahead Regardless of your post-high school plan (work, military, college), it s important to do your best in High School as employers, colleges and other organizations you apply with will consider: Cumulative GPA Test Scores (SAT, ACT) Rigor of classes Specific academic requirements Commitment to talents (Music, Art, Theater, etc.) Involvement in school activities, sports Community Involvement (community service)
