6 TDB COLLEGE, RANIGANJ, BURDWAN ADMISSION CRITERIA 1. A candidate must have 45% marks at H.S. (10+2) examination as well as in chosen honors subject. 2. Year of passing will be considered as current year (2017) and retrospective years (2016 & 2015 &2014) 3. All vocational (Engineering/technology /agriculture) courses passed candidates at H.S. level must be passed in Mathematics to take admission in B.Sc (pure science) and B.A (programme) courses. All vocational (Business Studies/commerce) passed candidates can take admission at B.Com (Programme) courses. Vocational home science passed candidates can take admission at B.Com (Programme Courses) 4. Marks Obtained in three best elective subjects and one language (Altogether best four subjects) will be considered as a basis of merit. Environmental studies will not be considered among best four subjects while environmental science will be included as the elective subject. 5. Subjects and marks requirements as eligibility criteria for Hons admission 1) Economics i) 45% marks in mathematics or business mathematics (in case of students passed With business economics) of H.S level is mandatory for those who do not have economics as a subject. ii) Those who have economics with 45% marks must be passed in 2) Statistics: Must have 45% in Mathematics at H.S. level. Candidate must be from science background. 3. Bio-Chemistry: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics as subjects H.S. level. 4. Chemistry: Passed in physics, chemistry and mathematics 5. Nutrition: Passed in chemistry at H.S. level. 6. Computer Science: Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electronics at H.S. Level 7. Geology: Marks obtained in best four subjects and marks of mathematics 8. Education: Marks obtained in best four subjects plus the highest subject marks(in case of a candidate not education at 10+2 level. 9. Psychology: Marks obtained in best four subjects 10.
