All times are tentative, except weigh-in times and start times each day. Regional entries - Wednesday, February 13, 2019 by 7:00pm All rosters and varsity win/loss results must be submitted in the Trackwrestling database. 2. Regional Criteria Thursday, February 14 th by 7:00 p.m. - head to head, previous state placer 3. Seeded Wrestlers released to coaches Thursday February 14, 2019 by 9: 4. Friday, February 10, 2017 Regional director will publish the final brackets immediately following the coaches meeting.
2 5. Once the roster deadline has been reached, wrestlers may only be replaced not moved to another position. 6. All coaches shall provide regional directors a signed copy (officials signature) from each weigh-in throughout entire season Coaches Attire: During the regional tournaments coaches are required to wear full length pants (Khaki s preferred), a collared shirt or a school issued top with school name or logo (collar preferred) and athletic shoes or dress shoes. All apparel must be in good repair. No hats, shorts, flip-flops or sandals are permitted. Tournament Expenses: Team expenses are the responsibility of each school. After tournament expenses are paid, the balance profit/loss will be divided equally by the twenty nine (29) schools involved according to the CHSAA guidelines. Rental fee of Montrose Event Center will be $ per team. Please send checks to Delta High School, 1400 Pioneer RD, Delta CO SEEDING CRITERIA: ALL REGIONS 1. Returning Colorado State champion - state placer (the higher place has preference)-any previous years. a. If two place winners from different weights were in the same classification (5A) and finished in the same place (2nd), the wrestler at the higher weight class has precedence. b. If two place winners are from different classifications; the larger classification has precedence. 2. Returning Colorado state qualifier. In the case of multiple state qualifiers, the following will be used as order of preference a. Higher regional place b. If two place winners from different weights were in the same classification (5A) and finished in the same place (2nd), the wrestler at the higher weight class has precedence. c. If two place winners are from different classifications, the larger classification has precedence. 3. Place wrestler in order (1-16) by win percentage (with a 15 match minimum). Once order is established use head to head criteria to move a wrestler no more than one position or seed at a time. Once placed, head to head comparisons must start at the top (#1 position) and work your way down. Wrestlers with less than 15 matches will be assessed losses to get to the 15-match minimum. 4. Most wins 5. Varsity win percentage at the weight the wrestler is entered in at the regional meet 6. Most falls 7. Most technical falls

4 Tournament Ticket Prices All-Tournament Pass Adults - $18.00 All-Tournament Pass Student/Seniors (55+) - $15.00 Friday Session Adults - $8.00 Friday Session Students/Seniors (55+) - $6.00 Saturday All Day Adults - $13.00 Saturday All Day Students/Seniors (55+) $11.00 Finals Only Adults $8.00 Finals Only Students/Seniors (55+) - $6.00 Coaches Information: 1. Teams should enter the Event Center through the south doors. Parents and spectators will not be allowed to bring in any food items through the main entrance. 2. A fully furnished concession stand will be available during all sessions of the tournament. 3. Hospitality room for coaches, managers, drivers, workers and administrators will be provided. 4. Two individuals will be allowed at mat-side. This regulation will be enforced. No managers, wrestlers, or statisticians are allowed around the mat area. 5. Coaches should be aware of any skin problems their wrestlers may have. Please note the following: Communicable Disease Procedure: According to the National Federation of State High School Association Wrestling Rules Book, Rule 4-2, ART. 3 If a participant is suspected by the referee or coach of having a communicable skin disease or any other condition that makes participation appear inadvisable, the coach shall provide current written documentation as defined by the NFHS or the state associations, from a physician stating that the suspected disease or condition in not communicable and that the athlete s participation would not be harmful to any opponent. This document shall be furnished at the weigh-in for the dual meet or tournament. The only exception would be if a designated, on-site meet physical is present and is able to examine the wrestler immediately after the weigh-in. Covering a communicable condition shall not be considered acceptable and does not make the wrestler eligible to participate. 6. Please submit your typed roster with name, weight-class, grade level, coaches names, school mascot, and colors by Monday, February 6, to Jeremy McCormick at jeremy.mccormick@deltaschools.com. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the program.
5 Videotaping: Allowed, but may be done in the SEATING AREA ONLY, NOT ON THE GYM FLOOR. Please notify your video-photographers prior to the tournament. Parents/coaches who wish to videotape must provide their own power supply. Videotaping cannot obstruct the view of the spectators or interfere with the conduct of the tournament. The taping cannot be used for coaching purposes during the tournament. Violations can hurt your school or wrestlers involved. Cheerleaders: Cheerleaders will be admitted in uniform. Cheerleaders must remain in the bleachers with all spectators during the first two sessions. During the third session and medal rounds, cheerleaders will be able to cheer on the mat of their team.
