Board Exams students GSEB has conducted the respective exams for HSC and SSC in the month of March 2014 and our school was one of the centres for the SSC Exams this year catering about 300 students. Kit Kat Quiz 81 children participated in the KITKAT Quiz competition, New Delhi and were awarded certificates and medals. Bidding adieu to the Unit Head A grand and sentimental farewell was given to the Ex. Unit Head Shri. P. S. Mazumdar on 22 nd June 2014 in the evening and was followed by a tea party. Sunjoy Podaar in the presence of all the dignitaries present on the occasion. The first copy was received by the School Principal Shri. K. C. Tewari and the second issue were received by the Managing Trustee Shri. G. R. Kapoor. Celebration/Important Events Social Outreach Programme: Gandhi Jayanti Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with a typical vehemence. A charity fund was raised on the occasion and was given away to a Senior Citizen Smt. Taraben Joshi and Smt. Kantaben Goswami of Jafarabad. Grooming Sportsmanship :National Sports Day National Sports day was celebrated with events for both boys and girls. The participants of the events were a mixture of students from both the senior classes and middle school Patriotism and releasing school in-house magazine: Independence Day 68 th Indian Independence Day was celebrated with a lot of grandeur with a special programme on different religions of India and their teachings related to social harmony. The Chief guest of the programme was Shri Sunjoy Podaar. Functional Heads, HODs and others were witness to the programme. Grooming leaders : Induction Ceremony

4 ABPS, JFD Bi-Annual Report April to September 2014 Page No. 4 A Students Council consisting of The Head Boy, the Head Girl, Cultural Secretary Boy, Cultural Secretary Girl, Sports Captain Boy and Sports Captain Girl were inducted into the Council by the Chief Guest. In-house exams The First Unit Tests were held from 31 th July to 07 th August 2014 and the Half yearly Exams/I Semester Exams were held from 18 th to 25 th September 2014 and subsequent parents meetings was held. Upgrading Library This year the school library has been added with Rs. 12,000/- worth books from the Scholastic India Ltd.
