Recognition of the Public D. Treasurer s Business To approve the following actions, upon the recommendation of the Treasurer: 1. Minutes Approve the minutes of the Board of Education s regular meeting held October 15, 2013, as presented.

2 2. Financial Statement Approve the financial statement for the month of October, 2013, as presented. 3. Tax Resolution Accept a Resolution authorizing the advance of local taxes by the County Fiscal Office for the 2013 Tax Year, payable in 2014, as presented. 4. Contract Awards Authorize the Treasurer to award the following contract to be paid with permanent improvement funds: a. Cardinal Bus Sales and Service for the purchase of two (2) 72 passenger conventional school buses and one (1) conventional lift-equipped school bus at a cost of $243, Bid for Permanent Improvement Work Authorize the Treasurer to advertise for bids for the following project to be paid with permanent improvement funds: a. Roof Replacement/Renovations at Copley-Fairlawn Middle School and Arrowhead Primary School. 6. Donations Accept the following donations: a. $1,000 from Earth Fare to be used for Physical Education Equipment at Copley High School. b. $12, from Arrowhead PTA to be used for the purchase of ipads and ipad covers for Arrowhead Mobile ipad Cart. E. Superintendent s Considerations and Recommendations To approve the following actions, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent: 1. Out of State Field Trip Approve the following overnight field trip for the Copley High School and Copley-Fairlawn Middle School Academic Challenge Teams: a. National Academic Challenge Tournament in Chicago, IL, June 7-9, 2014 Approve the following overnight field trip for the Copley High School Academic Challenge Team: a. Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence (PACE) National Scholastic Championship in Washington, DC, May 23-26, 2014 b. National Academic Quiz Tournament in Chicago, IL 4.
